Do it yourself or don't do it at all.

PS - the first option is the only option.

I will be honest....when I drove the Vette, the Rev match did hell of a good job....I think its perfect for street use when you dont wanna heel toe every downshift....but at the track, I would keep it off....

...and mess the clutch up!!!

In my Vette's defense, pictures don't do it justice. On certain points of view and in certain angles of light, the contrast looks killer in person.

SB, ironic that you got the flat bottom wheel and then the Z06 gets revealed with a flat bottom wheel.

G'dammit...you found my post. Just my luck.
Wasn't trying to hurt any feelings, was just my opinion and I didn't even want to post it to shit on YOUR thread. Overall, I love the car...it's just the clashing of black on red, even if it's as cool as carbon fiber.

What do I know...I don't have any real muscles cars.

You could have posted you feelings, no offense would have been taken. Everyone has their own opinion/taste. Thanks for the "overall" love.

Yea, I was thinking that too. But it has the ZO6 logo on it, so I could not have used it. It's like someone putting a Type S badge on a Base TL.

Well, I called to order the Carbon Fiber side skirts and the front splitter today. But no one answered the phone-I left a message, but no one called back today.

they tried to implement a similar feature in the 370Z auto transmission cars...start the video at 1:35....
I know what rev match is but why would you want rev match in Auto tranny? That video is stupid, dads FX does it too

Long time ago, I watched Nissan's video about it on 370z, can't find it again but it does it by itself and it was Manual tranny

Steven has that paddle shift there, how does that work? I don't get it
You pull it and it revs or what?

No, you just activate it once...i love how Chevy integrated the system....next time Steven is here, am gonna put him in the passenger seat and take some pix...

How it works is, say the display is white in color for usual driving....when you hit one paddle (for REV MATCH ON), its turns on the rev match and the gauges change color to Orange...from then on, when you downshift the computer blips the throttle....

the other paddle is REV MATCH OFF....this brings the display back to white and now the computer wont rev match....

Transmissions and engines work kinda the same way whether auto or manual....in the auto when you downshift, the shifts are slow and then the engine takes a split second to catch up the revs and then you have the power available....but by blipping the throttle you cut down on time from shifting to the power being available....

at times I blip the throttle in my auto TL while downshifting its funny....yes am ridiculous LOL

Turns in to Orange? Would turn me on too

Yes I do that with the TL too, hit the gas a little fast and downshift, perfect. Way faster than downshifting on FX if you ask me

Fawk, I love TL
FX is stupid, AUTO on infiniti sucks, so slow too, just not sporty. I guess that's why my dad loves it
He is like when the new FX comes in, I will trade this one for it

Well, it's 64 degrees in Kansas City. Time to get the Stingray outside and let her run!

We went down to the City Market in downtown Kansas City. She REALLY drew a crowd! I pulled in very slow and it seemed like everyone stopped to check her out.

Our next stop was the Sprint Center downtown! This is the 8th busiest venue in the United States.

Then we stayed downtown and went to the Kaufman Center for the Performing Arts. This is a beautiful building! I could only get a quick picture because the parking attendants were walking towards us as I tried to get some pictures. I'm not sure if they wanted to check out the Stingray or usher me along.....

Our final stop was at the Liberty Memorial. This is the only World War I museum in the entire world. The main tower gives you a beautiful view of the entire downtown Kansas City area. I took my wife to the top of the memorial and proposed to her there.....

Steve, you need to lower your car like they did theirs (the sideskirt people). They lowered it on the stock bolts and said it took them around 20 mins. That paired with the sideskirts will look killer

Nice updates, Steven!
The spoilers are going to be awesome.

Were those taken with your DSLR?
I'd encourage you to keep it simple. 1st tip, stop shooting in full sun, especially for a darker colored car, it's brutal. Shoot in PROGRAM mode, set your ISO to 100 in bright lighting and 800 or so in shade...the F to wherever you like...a low number F1.8 would focus on only one thing and blur the rest, while F20 would keep the entire frame in focus pretty much.

THEN, get lightroom...I'm sure Anil can get you a bootleg copy and it's simple to use. Then, just play with lighting and contrast to achieve the look you want and to bring the red color to the right tone to look like what your naked eye sees.

That's the simplified version on how I use my DSLR...I'm sure the purists have many more criticisms and complicated tips.

Killer day out in the sweet ride though, Steven...looks effing awesome.

What J said... But red always looks sexy
Why did you say that Anil?

Steven, when you bought the car, I thought there wouldn't be any mods for it. Car looked great as it is but now with all those mods you do, I got nothing to say and just watch

You can't even stop and it's not summer yet haha
