Started a mini project last week... Paint

before shot when the car was first bought..

still need to do a final wet sand... i am not completely satisfied with the outcome since the body shop sold me with the clear coat premixed and it did not set properly... i will prob wet sand it then do a separate clear coat... it should turn out better...

this is my cousin's car now since i couldn't afford insurance on all four cars... he wanted to do it San Marino Red... but they wanted $800 for the paint alone... he said that he would rather put that money into the engine etc...

i miss this car...

Nice, what color did you shoot it with? Was it OEM stuff like PPG or some other color? And how many coats? Seems pretty well done. The left side of the trunk seems to sit a little lower than the right though.

I also have a pic request if you don't mind. Did you paint the door jambs? Pics of the door jambs with the rest of the car in the picture, please.

Its the manual tranny. The TL auto has some tame gear ratios and throttle response.

Yes it is. Unfortunately my tranny is holding up well, so it'll be a while until the 6 speed swap

Sweet. I'm interested in seeing what it looks like when all is done.
