Standard automotive convenience features
It annoys me when I find a feature in one car that isn't found on others. Let's make a list of standard features you'd like to find in a car. I'll go first.
- power windows and door locks
- auto up/down windows
- gas door that locks and unlocks with the driver's door
- place on gas door to store gas cap while pumping gas
- auto tilt down mirrors while in reverse
- ability to downshift and upshift on an automatic trans (useful when going down steep hills)
- light in the glove box
- folding rear seat
- TPMS that shows pressure at all 4 tires
- arm rest
- lumbar adjustment in driver's seat
- rear HVAC vents that you can open/close
- use the navigation system while in motion
- voice dialing
- oil pressure gauge
- oil temp gauge
- accurate "water" temp gauge
- transmission temperature gauge
- charging system gauge
- keyless entry
- push button start
- traffic information without a subscription
- hood struts
- easily accessible oil filter and drain plug
- low washer fluid warning light
- oil level light
