Seems that even the SRT4s could be faster, 11psi is really low isn't it 14 stock and with the wastegate spring mod isn't it around 16-17psi?

oh, I dont know much about srt4 so.. You could be right but still at the end of the clip, they ran with much higher boost and it was dead even.

you can probably get the whole package for like under $22k...$17k ish for the V6 tib..and around $4k for the S/C setup..i would say that it is an awesome package..

One thing to not here is prob compression ration vs the other.

 

I took my car into my shop (All Aspects Motorsports, VA) to get one of my Koni's replaced, and I saw them working on a tC. Not sure if they were going turbo or sc. They also had an s2k on the dyno, but I was in too big of a rush to see what it was running.

What 1/4 miles have you heard of from S/Ced tCs?

11psi is nothing for an SRT4, its actually lower than stock, should be pushing out about 15 psi, and with the wastegate mod like somone else said around 18, my friend has one with an mbc his is at about 20 right now, and it moves.

Supercharged Tiburon = sleeper

 

Well, any engine turbocharged from the factory is going to have a stronger construction and lower static compression ratio to make it more boost-friendly. IIRC the 2.4L in the SRT-4 was 9.0:1 SCR.

Conversely, the Tiburon GT's 2.7L V6 has a SCR of 10.0:1, which is still a bit on the low side, but higher than the SRT's due to the fact that a higher SCR yields greater thermal efficiency provided you can keep spark knock under control. But, with a higher SCR, it can't be force-fed as much air before it starts to overstress itself. The extra 300cc of displacement and higher SCR means it will be more responsive to boost within limits, though.

Cool to see a Tiburon that actually can go as fast as it looks. I've always thought they were some cool looking cars. If only they weren't WWD...
