Spring Festival 9
Spring Festival 9
This past Saturday was the 9th annual Spring Festival of LXs...a giant show for all modern platform Chargers, Challengers, 300s, and Magnums with some special openings for Jeep SRTs and an occasional Viper.
This show gets bigger every year. This year topping nearly 1200 cars from attendees from all over the country and even further.
Chrysler has a big hand in this show now as well. And their presence grows every year as well. And they are just car guys who like to hang out and talk to everyone about their rides.
As usual there was a display area with most of the current models available for people to check out/sit in/ ask questions...as well as the usual raffles, vendor booths, test drives, and this year pro racer Leah Prichett was doing drag run ride alongs all day.
I was unable to attend last year...but this remains my favorite show of the year. Its just a good time by all.

That Viper/Charger needs a front facing intake. It's really bottle necked at that 90 degree angle. I shouldn't be too hard to fabricate something for it. Plus it was running really hot even with the hood open. Hopefully he'll put a more functional hood on that thing.

That's "Big Willy" belongs to friend/fellow SCC member Jon Sibal...who is very well known for his car renderings/designs in the auto industry.
He won his challenger in a paint design scheme contest where he not won the car...but won it with his design:

And over the years he has been transforming it because he has access to lots of sponsorships...in to this:

Which I think is one of the better known challengers across the country. You can even see in some of the pics above Jon is signing some boxes. A toy company made his car in one of their current lines...sold in TRU and Target.
I love his wheels...they are my favorite by far.

Sarlacc did you see the other bagged 2nd generation SRT Charger there? When I got my car bagged I was told it was 1 of 2 in the entire state but I've never seen the other one. I even heard it was a SoCal guy
I was SOOO not happy when they announced it wasn't ready as for the last year right up until the day of the show they were saying it was going to be there.
And Im not in love with the prototype hellcat logo...i hope it gets better.
). Thanks for the pics. Lots of awesome rides!
