Spring Fest 7

It was my third year attending and it was another great show. My club rolled in to the event with several other clubs visiting from out of state, it was a huge line of over a hundred challengers in the caravan...the best part of the day for me.

There was nearly 1000 cars registered this year, over 300 of them challengers.

Ralph Gilles was there again (CEO of SRT, and VP of Design for Dodge) and he just a very nice guy, extremely approachable.

I didn't really take many photos this year...I'm actually taking less and less at car shows, its kinda starting to bore me a little, especially when I'm seeing many of the same cars.

I was asked help shoot the 2nd annual Inaugural Editions 392 Challengers "photoshoot" since I shot last years. So, there is more of that than anything else...And man is it a PAIN to get a bunch of strangers to line up their cars and be rushed about it.

There is a shot of my car (For Sly Raskal) because I finally debugged my grille to see how it looks, opinions?

The Charger Drift taxi is being driven by Samuel Hubinette, Dodges drift competition driver. He was giving rides for donation to charity. A couple people paid the big bucks to go out in his actually drift challenger, which is a monster.

Enjoy

Huge event, with Dodge making a very big presence the last two years, ride and drive events, etc.

Big catered BBQ lunch thats free to entrants.

Free ride and drive events (this year was all SRT vehicles)

The hubinette drift ride along (donations to a child cancer charity)

DJ and lots of announcements by dodge, A big round table discussion with designers and engineers for those who sign up for it. And prizes/raffle.

And lots of vendor tents.

And that is just the actual show. Since hundreds of people come from out of town they literally overtake a near by double tree hotel beginning mid-week prior to the event and have lots of other local meets for the out of towners...and of course people hang and party at the hotel.

I don't go to the hotel, some locals do for the experience, but I did stop by and they had the hotel decorated with all the stuff and most of the employees were wearing lxforums t-shirts (this is the site/club that originally started the show and continues to run it.)

Its a huge undertaking.

Just curious, does Dodge have an OEM option for projector HID's for the Chally? It would be a very nice touch for your setup if they did.

Where was this held? Didn't see a location. But looks like an awesome turnout. Impressed that Dodge came out to set all that up for everyone. That's of them.

I know I've seen this car before around SoCal.... or at least one very similar to it.

Awesome pics as always, dude.

Your car is one of those cars where it looks great either debadged or not.

Yes, HID was an option on my car...and honestly one I regret not getting.

But there is a company out here who provides an aftermarket solution that is pretty highly rated...for lows/hi and fogs. At some point I'll probably jump on it.

I've only ever seen someone sell the factory projectors just once in the near 2.5 of ownership.

Its been held at El Toro airbase the last two years.

That car belongs to a SCC member named Jon Sibal who is a very talented artist with car concepts and comic books (his professional career)

That car has a "true flame" paint under the wrap that he designed for a contest and actually won him the SRT with said paint job. Pretty awesome.

Since then, he has gotten the matte black meguairs wrap, the hood, the new wheels, and his suspension is on bags. I think most of his stuff is all sponsored mods.

He is also very big in bimmers, he has a pretty tricked out 3 series I think.

Here are some pics other took of my car...you can I still have the badges on at the meet up location

I was really surprised with the level mods and custom work a lot of the cars there, I still got a lot of attention from people. A lot of dodge corporate all commented how much they loved my stripes and how it totally set the car off.

Your car looks good with or without the badges. Thanks for the pics. As usual, a big to your photog skills.
