Hey guys, Im not sure if this has been mentioned or not but I want to know if Honda is going to come out with a new sports coupe other than the Civic or the Accord coupe? Honda used to have the Prelude and they stopped producing those. I see like Nissan making the Skyline soon to come to North America in 2008 or 2009. Toyota is coming out with the Supra around that time. Mazda has the Rx8. Also when will Honda stop producing the S2000 because its been the same look since 2000. Thats 7 years now. Any idea guys?

I'd rather see that Accord concept on the streets than another sports coupe, also I think it's pretty hard for Honda/Acura to compete w/ the G37 and Supra, they'd have to design a completely new car, or give the accord AWD and turbo..... just IMHO.

Better yet, just bring back the CL and make it RWD (sorry for double post, it just came to my head)

honda's replacing the s2000, i tihnk its the new s800, but i cant find the new pics, not so great lookin, and slower. lemme try to look for it, but thats what i read.

The S2k has been confirmed to carry on at least through 08. After that who knows...people have been predicting (incorrectly) its demise for literally years now, but sales have been pretty steady through 06 at least, so who knows how long it'll stick around.

I do know they are offering a special edition "CR" model with an upgraded aero and suspension package for 08, so that might indicate a final hurrah, but they just as well might decide to make it an even 10 years by offering it through 09. (Hell, the NSX ran for 15 years with only a MMC tweak every 5 years or so...)

There's rumors sure, but with Honda/Acura its tough to speculate. I predict we'll have definite word of a completely new RWD sports car from Honda sometime in 09 for the 2010 model year.

i kinda agree but with what they have and realistically can do, i say cl and cl type s with sh-awd. come on, that is what in right now, sports coupes! acura should dump a 3.5 in a new cl and pro tune a type s
