Spending Approximately $23K... Help me Decide What to Get!
The cars that I'm looking at are the following, I currently own a 2003 Acura CL Type-S 6MT that I am selling tomorrow. I am looking to spend around $23K or $24K at the VERY most.
Here is what I'm looking at:
2006 Lexus IS350
I have found ONE of these for just under $24K that the dealer is willing to take $23K for as long as I do financing through them. This is probably my favorite car out of all that I've listed because it's rare, fast, luxury, etc.
2005-2006 Infiniti G35 Coupe 6MT (black)
This I would only buy in a 6-speed, no questions asked. I'd probably mod this a bit more and almost no questions asked buy this car wingless, and black.
2006 Nissan 350Z 6MT (pearl white)
This would be a car I'd only buy in pearl white, only in 6-speed, and probably mod the car just the same as the G35. Definitely a step up from the Acura in performance, and slightly better than the G35 in performance, also.
I know these are all pretty similar but what do you guys think? Before I posted this I was somewhat leaning towards the G35 coupe just because luxury + 6-speed + decent performance + stock 19's but I love the Z too, hmm.

How tall are you? I am 6'1'' and I had tough time driving one of my friends IS where as I can get in/out and drive the G35 very easily . My vote goes for the G due to plethora of mods that you can do to it plus I like the design.

I didn't think they had gotten that low yet, but I did a quick seach and found one in that price range in my area
Seems too good to be true... (wonder what carfax says):

G coupe....the steering/handling in the IS killed it for me, but it is pretty fuckin' fast. The G coupe is a great all-around performer with looks to boot. A lot of people hate that gen interior but I think its nicer than the new one

when youre sitting inside of an IS you will feel like youre getting a whole of a lot more for your money.
however, as others have mentioned, the steering is very numb. i drive an IS250 every week or so the the steering feels as loose as my old Jeep. you could wobble the wheel half a fists distance, and get zero feedback.

How's the mileage on that IS? Get what you like the best when you test drive them.
P.S Have you looked at CPO E90 330i sedans?

Easy one, G coupe. 350Z would be next. If I did buy that IS, it would only be to turn around and sell it for more.

IS being rare

You might be able to wing an 07 350Z with the HR engine for the same amount. They are blowing out brand new 08 350Z's for $27K here at my local Nissan dealership. The G is a great looking car, especially with the forged Rays 19"s. I don't know about you guys, but the IS looks like a car with tiny ass wheels to me; something just doesn't look right about the rear quarter being so high up over the wheel arch.

Buying a 2008 TL
Can anyone give me some insight.
I am looking to purchase an Acura.
I can buy a new 2008 TL with Nav for about $30,000.
or
A used 2007 RL with Nav for the same price.
The Mileage on the RL is 23,000.
Any advice,I love the RL but have not purchased a used car in a while.

Thanks for all of the feedback and advice guys, really appreciate it.
The IS350 is pretty much out of the question, the only ones that I can find under $24K are ones that have been in accidents, crappy interiors, etc. Just like the old saying goes - you get what you pay for.
Anyway, it's tough deciding between the 2005 G35 and the 2006 350Z. I can even find a few 350Z's that are 2007, with the new motor. So this makes it even more challenging do I get a car that's a few years older, virtually the same, for a few things that are a bit more luxury?

06 WDP / 07 WDP Type-S
Get the 07 Z if you can. This will blow anything away. Also, if you plan on driving people around, get the G. The Z has 2 seats. The G has a pretty big back area, so you can have your friends ride with you in your NEW car.

I have a 2006 G35 Coupe w/Sports package and I prefer the interior of the G over the Z.
It's a great car to drive. Zero maint issues so far with 47K on it now.

but that's a tough one...i think i'd actually go for the RL if 30k's a good price for it. not familiar with what they're going for used.

I'd have to second this one...but only in a 6 speed cabriolet in silver with red leather and red top! But between the choices above, I'd probably get the 350Z as first choice (and definitely in white!) with the G coupe as my second choice. IS350 is nice, but not really interesting...
