Soo... my girl now owns my CL-S
hey guys. im more of a viewer than a poster on here. but u all rock . anyhow, my girl owned a 2006 corolla type s. had it for about a year. bought it brand spankin new. but for some reason, she loved my car more than hers. anyhow, she got a hold of my keys and never let it go. on her birthdday, this past friday, she totalled her corolla . Thank God she was ok. wen the car came to a stop, her car was litterally looking at the sky. it came to rest wen she ran over a pole. so it had the car facing upwards. so i kainda felt bad, and besides i love her. so i gave her the cl and told her ill make the payments as usual. all she has to do is stay pretty and drive it. so i have 5 grand to play with. any suggestions on what i should buy? i need something to get around in. any help guys???

Depends on your credit...
Depends on what you want...
Depends and what you need...
Depends how long you will be with her... If already married... stick to the sedans...
Really, its up to you but a suggestion would be something along the lines of the TL, RL, Accord

wow,
i wanna see where this story goes in a few months. Not trying to be a pessimist, but.....
anyways, 5k to play with....for a downpayment or that's the whole amount.
Wait, wait, i can't let this go.
She smashed her Corolla, and you are going to give her your car and make the payments? Are you serious? You are obviously aren't rich since you only have 5k to play with. What about her insurance etc? This has "bad idea" written all over it.

i agree, wouldn't her insureance cover her car? I don't see a problem with you giving her your car if you get the insurance money or something, but I think that'd be over 5k.
if you have a 5k total budget, I'd probably get a 6-sp legend coupe. but maybe you should buy a corolla and see if she feels bad.

what about her insurance?? tell her to kick you some of the money she gets from that if she wants the CL.
i also dont think you should label the cars as either yours or hers. just share them. even if i bought my wife a brand new bmw i would still consider it mine in the back of my head, and she cant say shit when i get behind the wheel!

ok, as for her insurance, she paid the car off and put PIP insurance on it instead of full coverage. she wanted to save up to buy herself her "super car" as she calls it. so her insurance will only cover the other persons damaged car. and no im not rich, and im not poor niether. i got more than 5k to play wit but i jus need something to roll around in till i finish school and see wat the 09 cars from acura has to offer. im playing it smart. trojanman, i agree wit u totally. i consider it both of ours. i jus let her think its hers...

What you did is a very bad idea. I hope you switch the insurance to her name...and pray when she drives the CLS. I would never let anyone drive my car w/o knowingly their driving skills.
