Sony Afeela

Was at the mall last night to meet some family for dinner. And I knew Afeela opened a limited time "store" front there. So, I went to check it out. I didn't have time to do the interior demo but it's definitely interesting. There are ideas about that I like. So, at some point I'll go back and see it more in depth.

Not sure if I love the wrap around screen, but I do like the two far end side mirror screens. And I really like that the front has an LED screen that you can customize text on.

Price starts at $90k which is too high. But this car is only available in CA at the moment.

Best part...its literally next door to Tesla

Afeela this thing isn’t going to sell very well at all .

I’m curious to see it in person though..

Steering device seems modeled on an F1 wheel.

$90k for starters?!?

And "Afeela"?? Am I missing something? I see it's a female name in (Algerian?) Arabic that can mean "attractive" or "beautiful." Maybe it's like "Fairlady"??

In Hindu mythology it can mean "consort of Garuda," which is the wife of a mythical bird-like creature (Garuda) that carries the Hindu god, Vishnu.

And then there's this:

I mean, it’s not the worse looking jellybean style car. I do like the rear is a hatch, that’s pretty practical. It looks spacious inside as well.
I don’t really like the current trend with a long screen smeared across the top of the entire dash. I suspect the sun could sear your retinas at times. I also dislike steering wheels that aren’t whole.
I agree that 90k is pretty steep.

wainting for Doug to show us the quirks and features
