Sick fucks, get your head out of the gutter! I had to take it to a friends wedding this weekend down in Santa Monica and decided to take some shots after.

Fatman suspension, Fatman did this a long time ago (those familiar w/ hot rodding will know the name)

4 linked in the rear, fully adjustable coilovers all around, disc brakes etc.

The motor was done back when guys didn't put fords in fords, so it's a 383" SBC good for about 350hp/350lb ft matted to a 700R4.

So basically, it looks completely stock but is a trick hot rod underneath

Horror story for you, my dad bought this car in 1978, it was a frame and a few body panels (no wood). After about 15 years of doing it he brought it home on a flat bed. Drove it over to AAA to insure it (about 4 miles from our house). It was a friday and they closed early. On the way home, turning down our street some drunk lady smashed him from behind. Completely destroyed the whole rear and ALL the wood, and of course, she didn't have insurance and neither did we. Only time i've seen my dad cry.

Here's some of the inside.

Sounds like it might actually be pretty fun to drive despite its size?

no, I actually left my polarized filter in the car, would have been a great time for it. I was using my 17-85IS EF-S

Sweet. Did you restore the woodwork yourself or get someone else to do it? I'm also curious to know how much was sunk into the restoration in both $$ and time. Looks like you did a helluva job.

Wood was done by a guy who does these cars for a living. Let's just say, if you were to buy a wood kit for a car like this now, the wood alone is about 30K (wasn't that expensive back when the cars wood was done). Then take into account we basically had to redo the car twice. Let's just say, a lotta money.

That's what I thought. I figured that about the only people who can work on it are the guys who restore old boats.

That has to be one of the nicest cars i have seen on this board. The level of detail is amazing. They sure as hell dont make cars like they used to.

What's it like to drive it? As in cabin noise. Does the woodwork get loud and squeaky or is it pretty tight?

Hot rods are about the coolest toys a guy can own.
