I got quoted exactly $50k for a brand new C6 with just about every available option.

You have not been looking very hard if you have not found one yet.

Those cars are incredibly cheap/easy to maintain-just like any other Acura. Plus, you hardly ever see them on the road.

The only downfall is that the design is over 15 yrs old.

Alright, I been looking over at s2kidotcom and might get a s2000 and supercharge it. Sounds like fun, ~350 rwhp on an s2000 sounds like a blast. Thoughts.....

That's what I have been looking at for a while.

You can even buy a used one with the blower on it for way under $30k and have a cream-puff car.

Crazy- I am digging the s-type r also. Straight pimp styling and I never see them.

I would rather get a C6 than a C5 zo6. Same hp and torque but miles upgrade in the interior and technology.

Njz- If I were to go to 42-43 I would get a c6. Thats how much I like the new C.

The new 06 S4 is straight Test drove one the other day for fun. The engine growel is sooooo pimp. It is too much. Now an 04 S4 might come in the price range.

A STI I would feel to teeny, need some luxo to my ride. The GTO is nice, but its still a pon, great in a straight line.

Help us out dude, gotta narrow it down a little bit.

Is this a daily driver?
Do you need space or any kind of utility?
What's the maximum budget?
Do you have a second ride? If so, what?
How important is reliability?

Of the choices I've seen so far, I say C6.

I studied those cars very closely for months. In addition to the supercharger (unless its a 2004 or 2005), you'll need a shock upgrade, swaybar changes, differential strengthening, a roll bar, and a wheel and tire upgrade. Without that, a Comptech blower on a stock S2000 will absolutely hurl you into the trees faster than Tara Reid blows tennis players. Very unforgiving cars, the early ones. The 2004+ models have suspension tweaks that make the handling much more civil.

Other than that set of rules, they're excellent. Be prepared to keep it on the boil though, even with the supercharger on it. Motor Trend (I think, maybe Car and Driver) did a 0-60 test on one shifting at 5500rpm......and it took 11 seconds.

Cheers,
-Mirror
