All new preludes are H22. The old ones had varying levels of power. The new ones are all the same. I know for the last few years they boosted the overall output by like 5-10 horsepower. I could be the engine work Honda did on it. Or the extra vtec stickers.
EDIT: My postcount is my area code. I'll never post again!

I know I'd be sacrificing the luxury, but gaining much in terms of performance. I'm 22, and I realized why do I need luxury...this is the time when I'm supposed to be enjoying more youthful cars. Although I love the leather of the CL, it's hard to pass up 200hp DOHC!
I'm willing to get rid of leather and fake wood in favor of sport cloth and an H22.
Plus, Ludes are freakin sweet-looking.
Would I really want to avoid the sport-shift auto, especially with all the traffic? Of course my major preference is the 5-speed, but if I find a lude I like at the price I like and it happens to be auto, I dont see how I could pass it up.
EDIT: By the way, what exactly was in the SH package? Better handling and 5hp?

The 1997/98 models had 195 hp for the 5-speed, 190 for the auto
The 1999-01 models had 200 hp for the 5-speed, 195 for the auto. The SH models were rated at the same hp as the non-SH models, but there were rumors that they had about 5 hp more. Both the SH and non-SH dynoed almost exactly the same, and the SH drivetrain probably ate a smidge more hp due to the ATTS (additional torque converter).

SH was also manual only, so if you want that package, auto isn't a possibility. SH package includes the ATTS (aims more torque at outside wheel around turns), stiffer suspension, some additional lighting in the door panels, and potentially an extra 5 hp in the real world (but not in the spec sheet).

But the Type SH handles like a dream in the twistes. But ATTS can be a bitch if you have problems with it.

Type SH - ATTS has a tendency to shit the bed.
Other then that super solid reliable love machines.
Oh and the prelude forums all suck, the only good one got shut down years ago.
