So my mom's Suburban needed...to go...
After YEARS of slowly considering new cars to replace her 03' Chevy Suburban... they finally chose (with some persuading)....

Only had camera phone at the time. It may not be for everyone... but the exterior is really growing on me surprisingly... and the interior is hands down my favorite of any vehicle I've been in. Better pictures coming!

The exterior... is taking some time to get used to. The curves are interesting, but not really consistent. But it's slowly growing on us as a whole. My mom did not want something overly flashy, but rather something unique but still luxurious. The closest Infiniti dealership is 80 miles away, and after a whole year of it being out, we have not seen another one on the road around us (or within 50 miles even).
Initial opinions - Power, power, power. Power everything - doors, smart key, etc. We love the smart key feature, especially how it tells you it recognizes that you're near by simply turning on the side view mirror puddle/courtesy lamps. The transmission and power is tremendous. 400hp and 413 pound feet of torque with a 7 speed transmission - speed climbs fast and without drama.
The biggest thing that I worried about with any lux truck for my mom was that it had to be user friendly - complicated systems were not going to roll well with my computer illiterate mother. Which meant the BMW x5 and GL450 were out - she tried them out and thought turning on the x5/x6 was overly complicated. Plus... those cost an arm and a leg. This truck may be one of the most user-friendly in all aspects - Acura should take a note on how to limit the amount of buttons while still having many features.
We didnt overly complicate things by getting the other driver aids (the lane departure, radar cruise, etc), but I did wish it came with blind spot warning system stock. Either way, even with the styling, I think we made a good fit with this car and we absolutely love driving it. The interior is to die for!

My friend wanted one of these badly. He actually "purchased" it, drove it home, kept it for 2 days and took it back. It was one of those "what am I doing?!" moments for him. The ~$1000 car payment (which he could totally afford) just didn't sit well after some thought. He is one of those guys that could care less about what he drives, but for some reason he loooovvvees the QX. Knowing what kind of guy he is, that says a lot about the vehicle. All that aside I still think it is not a nice looking vehicle at all, but the interior, features and ride is amazing.
