hey Jatt so when you took the MSF course did you need your permit from the DMV? and after completeing the MSF course did you have to take the driving test from the DMV or was that waived? gimme details for what you did? im assuming you have your class M license now??

whatever you did should be the same for me since were both in CA right?

You dont need the permit....if you already have a drivers license. MSF is a 2 day 1 night course. First night is classroom...which is required. The next 2 days are riding and instruction on 125cc bikes. You need a helmet...gloves and some shoes that cover the ankle. You pass the last day riding test and you get a certificate that allows you get your M1...if you already have the permit...otherwise you have to take the permit written test.

Insurance is cheap if you get liability....with comprehensive or medical...it can get $$$$

Also if you want a bike...get a used one.....ride for like 6mos-1yr....if you like it keep it...if you dont...you can probably get close to what you paid for it if you didnt down it.

I didn't have helmet so they provided one.... they had tons of them.

cant be that bad Jatt....with my R1 I am paying 1100 for the year, since its over 600cc ...got me missing my R6 and the 500 for insurance

so i guess this means you're in california then? cause i heard taking the MSF course in some states doesnt allow you to get your M1..

im thinking ill probably do all this over the summer
