So, I'm kinda bored of my new car....

I have had the E350 for a bit now. It is a really nice car, great interior, pano sunroof, looks kinda cool....but it is sooooo boring, and not a lot whole lot of power.
I drove a 2009 CTS-V auto with pano roof today. that car can get scary fast real quick.
Also drove a 2010 BMW 550 Msport. Also a nice car. But a certain someone discouraged me as the interior is dated.
I need help!
I can make a "lateral" trade meaning i can't take on a payment. I can probably get by spending 1 or 2k more than the e350.
Any ideas guys?
I have to commute @ 70 miles a day. I don't want a shit box because I figure I spend half my life in the car and i work to hard not be comfortable!
It should get reasonable gas mileage (i know that CTS-V does not but it's sooo awesome)
It has to be 4 door (pending baby on the way!)

And just to let everyone know Jesal said this would happen.

Gorgeous car, really stands out on the road.

But, the E350 is $51,000 while the BMW is $76,000. That'd be a hard trade if the OP isn't looking for a payment.

oy!!

Get the CTS-V! Listen to me for once!! Or get an M3 sedan.

Personally think you like the CTS-V more since it has better gas mileage and has that american rumble that you always wanted.

I will trade you my 1998 328i straight up since your new car is so boring now

For $52k you might be able to score an Audi S4. 335d maybe?

Quite a few 2011s for sale at $40K, if you can swallow 45,000 miles in 2 years.

2009 CTS-Vs are around $40k, or less. My dealer has my 2009 V sedan on sale for $39k, and I'm sure someone will talk them down from that.

Do it and you won't be sorry. Your drive to work will be much more exciting. Your gas bill will be , though. The V fits TWO baby seats, easily. I only had to use it for one booster seat, and that was enough.

You won't find a V wagon for that price, however. The least expensive 2011s are still in the mid-upper $40k's.

That's a little rough. My '10 barely hit 28k last month. If I transfer to another agency I'll be doing 80+ mile commutes though.

Damn, I really want a V. I was also thinking about an S6 lease, but if that transfer goes through I'll need to "own" a car given the miles I'll be driving.

OP, get the V Those prices are a bargain given the fun factor and they seem to be pretty reliable.

I'm seein' a lot of love for the V! The wagon is a dream, but we are about to a gigantour remodel on the house so the boss won't release fundage

Neuron, what kinda mileage can I expect? I was able to eek out 17-18 with the M3 on commutes. Kinda sucks having to fill up every four days, though.

I've been also trying to locate an M3 sedan....

From what I read people can only get about 20 out of an s4, correct?
Keep the ideas comin' guys!

No love for the e60 550i M-sport, huh?

I am biased but how bout a 2010 bmw 335. Toss on a tune and it'll be faster than the older model 2009 cts-v. I travel about 30k a year and the seats are comfy, I get about 27mpg on the highway(im awd though).

Edit. Sorry didn't see you already had an e92.

The S4 3.0T will get you mid-20s in highway driving.

The V8 would be about 22mpg.

Based on what people post on the V forums you'll be hard pressed to get combine 20 mpg unless you drive like a granny which defeats the purpose of getting the V.

Before I met my wife I had dated a girl with one. Rare 6mt too. Not my cup of tea. I wasn't digging the interior, or styling even though it did look mean, I feel that there are better cars for the money.

Current gen S4s you can get mid 20s highway, low 20s high teens around town as Mike mentioned.

Another car to consider is a used F30 335i? High 20s to low 30s highway and a lot of fun.

Drove one of these recently and was absolutely blown away. Comfortable, quiet on the road without your foot down, good looking, and that power

My 911 makes a bit more with the tune but the sound of a 6.4L V8 is just awesome!

And the Super Bee one is right within' his budget.

Makes wonder why the "regular" SRT8 runs about $5K extra unless it's fully loaded from the factory.

Super bee was limited and I doubt you can find one now...it was also less because it was a more "thrifty" SRT dropping a lot of the luxury features such as leather aimed more towards people who just want the no frills performance.

The regular SRT or even loaded RT has heated/cooled upholders. heated seats/rear seat and steering wheel. navi with all the performance gauge goodies. laser guided cruise, etc etc etc etc.

I dont know a person yet who wasn't surprised or amazed after driving one.

Oh, didn't know that. I was just looking up what SRT8s sell for & noticed Dodge had a Super Bee edition as a current model available.

I kind of want to see how much better this new one is personally, but have to wait until someone brings one in at work. They definitely sound badass, even if I had to get walked on the highway to hear it. The deep, gnarly sound kind of reminds me a bit of AMGs.

SRT specs are pretty amazing. Mid 12s for the 1/4 mile. Dayum.

50K sticker. What are they actually selling for?

I would rather have a 300 SRT-8 than the Charger. Not that I would buy either.

Especially coming from the Merc.
