Sketchy - Acura Dealer Sent me someone else's plates
Not just the new tags, but registration. Fedex overnighted to my home address where I've lived for 2 years now, sent to the name of who I believe was a previous tenant. When I first moved in I had some mail coming with that person's name, which slowly decreased, every so often would get an ad sent to that person's name or 'current resident'. Seemed like a normal thing.
But in the last couple months the mail seems to be increasing more and more. I even had a toll violation from NY come to my address under their name a few weeks ago.
I called the dealer from NJ, where I live, who was listed as return address in the Fedex to ask what car this was for. Eventually I told them I hadn't opened the Fedex yet as it wasn't addressed to me, but based on who was sending it and the feel of the package, I could tell they sent plates. They agreed. They said the person they sent shipment for, who lives in NY, bought a new car from them about a week ago, and it must be an accident that they shipped the new NY plates to their customer's old NJ address (I couldn't get it out of them if this was the person's first time doing business with the dealer, but they did say they also had a PO Box address in NY). I asked if they normally ship tags to the address where the car is registered, which is where the owner must also have the vehicle insured against as well, which the guy said yes but there must just be a mix up. He said I could open the envelope to verify (his boss told him to tell me to and that they'd come by to pick up the plates in a day when I can arrange it for them).
Sure enough, it's NJ plates, and registration for a new 2018 TLX listed under someone else's name, at the address where they haven't lived for 2+ years.
So.... any thoughts? As this is my first post out of my 3G TL 'happy space' where I've made every other post, please feel free to bump this to more appropriate forum if needed.

We bought our house as a short-sale (got a great deal, BTW). But we still continue to get any and all mail from the previous owners - bank statements, Christmas cards from relatives, medical bills, you name it... Also, apparently they are getting sued - we had a sheriff ring our bell looking to give papers to them. Luckily, we advised that they no longer lived here, and that was the end of that.
We never open their mail either, but return to sender.

Best bet is to wrap the whole package in foil and leave it at the Hoboken train station.

We've even had packages delivered to them from accounts where they have their old shipping address still on file. It happens. No biggie

I mean, the obvious and simplest explanation is that flat Earth lizard people illuminati sent him those plates which are for sure covered in vaccine so he'll get autism and vote for Newt Scaleton in 2020.

And completely unrelated, just got another toll violation yesterday for a different state delivered to my address with this person's name on it.

Lol damn this devolved quickly. I leave the thread alone for one day and look where it goes.. I'm pretty sure these plates were simply fated to me from 75 million years ago just before the people of Xenu landed their DC-8 near all the volcanoes.
