Silverado SS deal?

My good friend works at the chevy dealer here in orlando, he knows that i have recently been looking for a car and he told me that he can get me a real good deal. Now, the only 2 chevy's i would ever consider buying would be a brand new corvette or a silverado SS, and the vette is way too much money. He told me he can get me into a new Siverado SS with 0 miles, priced at $41,000 for $30,000.

I know this is a good deal because invoice is $35,000 and he can get $5,000 in rebates and they will still make money. But my problem is that i wasn't really looking to have $500 car payments again, looking for $375-$425 max, which would only leave me to give a big down payment or lease the truck. I know leasing a chevy is not a good idea, because of the shotty resale value, but maybe because i am getting the truck so cheap, it will offset the big depreciation hit.

does anyone know where i can find the residual value of a 04 SS?

Yeah, that would be one reason for me not getting it, at this point the only way I'll get it is if i can get it around ~$400 for an '05.

My Step dad has a 2003 2500 w/ the 6.0L... Gets 12mpg...
