Sideswiped an 05 E500 today, DOH
the E needs a new fender and some touch up work on the side of the bumper... how much do you think this will run me?
thank god this was in my Jeep, not the CL. Jeep has like ZERO damage.
to make a long story short, i switched lanes quickly while a truck in front of me slammed on his brakes. the E500 was in my blindspot and i swerved into her.

It's not gonna be cheap. My father's eclass had light fender damage and the fender alone was like 2200. If she is a stick up the ass chick, like a lot of mercedes owners are, then she will want to take the car to the dealer. The dealer prices are insane, but dont worry, they give you the broomstick they raped you with when they are done.

If I owned a '05 E500, I'd take my Benz to the dealer too if it was someone else's fault. I wouldn't want some teenager working on it at the local body shop.

2200 for a fender. that is INSANE. i thought it would be 800 tops! (w/o paint)
damn man. i have liberty mutual and explained to them the situation and they told me if i switched lanes and she continued to drive straight and came in contact with my car, then it is her fault. personally, i think im at fault here, but hey, ill take my insurance companys word for it. i just got a phone call from her insurance co. so i guess the fact of who is at fault is still pending...

Yeah it's a good thing for him, but imagine if you were driving a car that expensive and someone hits you like that. Would you expect it to be your fault for staying in your lane?
Those insurance people are a bunch of fuckers. A few years ago a trailer backed right into my father. The truck was waiting at a stop sign and my father was behind him. Out of nowhere the truck went backwards and hit his front end. The insurance didn't pay for it because they said it was my fathers fault for not moving out of the way. There were witnesses there that said he couldn't have moved even if he had tried to.
Those people are just a bunch of scammers, just looking for a way to take money.
BTW Jay, I'm happy for you
