Sharp looking Legend with 300k miles!

It's a 1994 Acura Legend LS coupe 6-speed. Still on the original engine, transmission, clutch, axles, exhaust, suspension (I have every receipt for every dollar spent on maintenance throughout the car's lifetime).

Recently had the roof, mirrors, hood, front fenders, and front bumper painted (fading and rock pitting consistent with age and mileage). All other paint is original.

This was the most involved detail I've ever done. Completely scrubbed and detailed undercarriage. Spent nearly an entire day on the engine, and a couple hours on the interior. I am currently using Meguiars Carnauba wax (step 3) along with a Mother's clay bar kit. Tires shined with Meguiar's Hot Shine and interior treated with Poorboys Natural Look.

The local Acura dealership is using the car as part of a high-mileage Service Department campaign, so it went into the showroom tonight.

Current mileage...

And the unveiling...

Scrubbed & painted wheel wells and undercarriage.

Repainted brake calipers.

Wow...my old baby! *tear* Deff a timeless design...even after all these years! I used to think the 3G TL was a timeless design when it was first released...until almost every other car manufacture ripped off the design =/

Oh well, its the original out of the bunch

The Gen II Legend Coupe was awesome.
I had one in 91 and drove it for 110,000 miles before buying my first CL-S.
The “Made in Japan” Legend was the last high quality luxury car Acura built.
Quality and style has been all downhill since 1995.

I wish I lived where there was no salt or sand used on roads ... which would mean I would have to live in a desert-like climate ...

Great job with that Legend coupe. They certainly don't make them like they used to!!!

That is crazy! The car is like in super mint condition I love the Legend. I had a 89 and sold it last year @ 212k miles. I wanted to get a 1995 coupe, but no luck finding one. I went for the TL instead.

I believe tyson is a member here, maybe someone can get his attention. I believe his car spent a lot of its life in utah, and has definitely been driven EVERYWHERE (including through canada, to alaska , and all over the US )

damn he did a breat job detailing it, it looks brand new. I think it was in an accident a few months ago. You'd never guess it though. I miss my legend now.

It's my car and I just found out this thread was here, lol...

Thanks for the positive feedback! Makes all the hard work worthwhile at keeping this car clean.

Yep, the sticker on mine was $41,800 in 1994. I did an inflation adjustment awhile back just out of curiosity, and it came out to the mid $50k's or something. Expensive cars back in the day.

Zero. Original HG, never overheated or left me stranded. Ever.

Hey buddy, good to see you here! But yeah, I've taken this Legend through 25 U.S. states, 3 Canadian provinces, and 2 Mexican states. Longest road trip was 8,000 miles round-trip to Fairbanks, Alaska in 2006.

I've got every receipt for every oil change since the car was new.

Wow, that's a lot of miles!

Longest car I ever had was an 88 Accord Lx-i that lasted until 133,000 miles until the repairs were too costly for the value of the car.

I'm at almost 50,500 miles in my Japan made TSX, but they definately don't make Japan made quality anymore.

Did you have a GPS to find your way from Arizona to Alaska?

I also saw a thread before of an Integra that has 600,000 miles.

No GPS. The only direction assistance I had was a guide book called the Milepost (www.milepost.com). It literally told us exactly what to look for at every mile along the entire Alaska Highway -- including gas station availability, accommodations, etc. I would do the trip again in a heartbeat.

Contrary to popular belief, MOST of the highway was paved. We probably had to trek through 50-100 miles or so of gravel however, due to construction zones. And the frost heaves can really give your suspension a workout even when the road is paved. Felt like a rollercoaster for a lot of the way. I posted a trip report with about 40 pics right here.

I absolutely loved the look of the Legends. I remember my best friend's dad had one and I remember goggling over it every time we drove in it.
