Scion xB Update

So as many of you already know, I finally got my xB. I immediately changed the wheels on it to replace the nasty wheel covers that it comes with. Last night I further added to the list by installing lowering springs, a rear sway bar (car never had one to begin with) and a front strut tower bar. The way Scion did the suspension, the rear wheels sit a little further in the vehicle, which makes it look a little weird. Instead of putting spacers and having to put longer studs, someone made a 10mm "shim", which goes behind the wheel hub, and pushes out the hub closer matching the front wheels. With that, I also added 5mm spacers on top of that, so the wheels/tires are practically flush with the fender, giving it a pretty good stance. It makes the car handle like it's riding on rails, and the "fun" factor goes up a lot. Overall I'm pleased with the car, it could use a little more power and a higher performance clutch, but those things I'd probably consider going forward when I get an itch in my pocket. I didn't have the chance to take any pics yet, I'll try to take some later on. Lastly, I ordered custom plates, it pretty much answers any of the comments, curiosities and remarks that people have to say about the car:

I was by your work the other day Ed, my friend gets some work done at 212 every now and then. When I turned the corner I saw your car (or is it truck? crossover vehicle? whatever...) and my friend made a funny comment like, ''WOW look at that Scion!'' I told him that it was your car because I saw it on the board, and he started laughing. That plate is priceless.

With the drop, the wheels fit in the wheelwell perfectly without much of a gap all around

I took some pics tonight, although it was getting dark, so they aren't so great, but you will see the difference in the drop. Keep in mind, the springs still have to settle, so it will probably lower a bit more too..

Wadya think?
