School help?

So I'm looking to either go to a trade school for either welding or automotive. Ive been leaning towards automotive, but i need some help. Any advice on good automotive technician schools? I want to eventually get into tuning/performance. Im just not sure where to start. Im in my senior year of high school. Should i try to get a job at a dealership, and have them pay for me to go to school? Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Might be more of a rambling topic but ill try to help.

First does your school have a auto tech program and if so what level of classes have you taken? If so how do you feel about the job and career outlook.

Second go meet with a counselor at Ohio Tech College, and see how you like the feel of it. I don't know if dealership will pay for tech school, maybe someone will chime in and let us know.

Check to see if the "JR Colleges" in your area have an automotive program.
