that's probably right...I bet the Vette put down about 450rwhp w/out even tuning...i imagine with those mods he's at 550rwhp maybe a little less...the Cobra was probably running 425rwhp...good runs though, that Vette made the Snake look slow

The Pontiac WS6 (LS1 motor) made 320 HP and 345 TQ at the crank from a 5.7L V8 or 56.5 HP/L
The C5 making 385 horsepower makes the same HP/L as the 4.6L motor in the Ford.
Ford does just fine making power on the motor.

with the basic mods to a cobra like i/e/chip/pulley
it will run 12 flat with a great driver, prolly 12.3-12.5 with an avg driver, an ls1 w/ heads and cams would most likey be even with or beat a cobra with those mods
there have even been some bone stock ls6's that have ran 11.8 @119-120ish

An LS1 with a T56 turbo vs an '03 Cobra Turbo = extremely close race. I give the advantage to the LS1 though. There was a video of a turbo firebird destorying heavily modded supra's not too long ago.
