Saw a Panamera at the car show yesterday and...
this is another car that I have to say that you have to see it in person to appreciate it. I actually like it now. I think there are far too many buttons in the cockpit but I like the interior styling overall. On the outside it has a wide and low stance that is rarely captured in pictures. I don't think it'll ever appeal to Porsche purists but it is far better than the Cayenne.
I hated these...hated them....saw them on the road...hated them.
Then...I saw them more up close at the auto show, sat in them...seen even more on the roads now, and I hate to admit that they have grown on me a lot.
I dont care for the interior design so much. Back seat is a bit cramped...but the exterior can look very sexy in the right trim.

There is a lot more wrong with the TL than just the grille IMO.
The fat bumpers, the bloated looking out perspective wheels flares, giant front bumper that flares out at the bottom and has loads of dead space, The super thick C pillars, The giant waste of dead space in the rear quarter panels leading all the back to the a huge dead space between the tails lights and the lower refelectors at the bottom of the bumper. The car is out of proportion and out shape.

The Panamera has WAY more going for it.

with everythingI admit, the 4G TL can look good with a LOT of work though. RJ grille, a drop, wheels, painted trim underneath the trunk, blacked out rear fogs (or) delete, different exhaust tips, and if its not an SH-AWD, rockblocker film on the (running?) lights just above the fogs. But that crease in the trunk is just unnatural looking. The 4G looks better in darker colors, but I've seen the Panamera at several different angles up close (was in the lane next to me while I wasn't driving) and in different colors while I was down in SoCal and it just does not look good.

I really, really, really, really, REALLY hated the 4G - I can't stress this enough. I was claiming doomsday for Acura and all sorts of things until I finally saw buckvegas's 4G over 2 years after I first saw the 4G in pictures. It looked good, even in the pictures. But that was only with all the aforementioned work done to the TL.... for the Panamera I don't see anything happening. That hatch area is so ugly, and its ugly from all angles. It looks like a big egg when viewed from any angle if you're behind it.
Both the 4G and the Panamera looked bad in pictures, and only looked worse after I saw them in person too.

Okay, here are my crappy phone pictures I took.
This 250C was siick!

The CTS-V Coupe was stunning! I thought I would not like this car in person. If I had my real camera I would have taken more shots.

The Stingray...build it!

The Panamera that made me like Panameras

...and while badass, I did not like the Rapide that much. The same class as the Panamera and I actually like the Panamera better

Last and least (interesting), this GTC sported a nice color

Those cars were really the only notibles at our car show this year, which is usually smaller than an online meet

Saw this in person at cars and coffee, and I gotta say I like it too. At first just viewing it from pics I never liked it. The interior looks really nice. And those seats look comfortable and supportive. It has great rear seats that also look very supportive.
There's a reason its Porsche's best selling car in the states

I see quite a few of these a day in L.A. and I'm still a little undecided on whether I like it or not. I think the car looks great, up until you get to the rear. Yes it is classic Porsche styling, but it would look better if it looked like it has a trunk instead of the rounded hatchback look.
i accidentally walked into a parallel parked one on thursday after dodging a wreckless cabbie. the alarm went off, but no damage, obviously. let me just say that the alarm was LOUD. the bumpers were also pretty damn beat up from NYC parking. anyway, i took a quick peek inside. the dash layout looked pretty overwhelming. interestingly enough, at 3 pm today, i saw a biker get hit by a minivan at the same corner. no injury, just arguing...they really need to do something with that traffic light.

I think in the right trim like Sarlacc said it really must be seen to be appreciated. But again, it's a niche market just like the X6. They can look ok with some help but I still would rather spend that coin on another 4 door.

I spotted a hawt female closing the hatch on her Panamera in Pasadena, I was way too distracted to take a good look at the Panamera. At a quick glance in my rear-view, it looked alright
the pics that nokiaman posted kinda show what's wrong with it IMO. Compared to the yellow 996 the Panamera looks huge. If they pushed the C-pillar forward a little and made the rear more raked without that ending the rear bumper so bluntly, it would look a lot better.
I remember this really disproportionate looking media sketch of the Panamera, but I like the rear cause it isn't as weird looking as the production model

Ask anybody who knows me and they'll tell you right away that I almost never like new cars or redesigns. If I like a new model or a redesign right off the bat, it's a miracle. And I have liked the Panamera from day one. That car is hawt.
I saw a white one driving through my neighbourhood and I liked it. But I have't seen a picture that did the car justice. I wanna see in person a black one with tinted windows and some black wheels. I think it would look good
Interior is beautiful, but exterior is awful especially the back.
And speaking of Porsche...The GT2-Rs = SEX. Will be the fastest legal road car right?
I suspect once the new Cayenne comes out it'll reclaim the title of Porsche's best selling model.

I like the Rapide much better than the Panamera. The Panamera's trunk just looks unnatural.
I agree about the Corvette-build it! I would buy one in a heartbeat-I'd even forgo my Lambo for the new Corvette. And that's saying a lot for me!
