Saturn SKY roadster sighting on I-75

Anyone else seen one of the new Saturn roadsters yet?
On Thursday, one was going southbound on I-75 near Flint.
If I had blinked, I would have missed it.

They're made in Delaware, so maybe some of the East Coast Types
[... you know who you are ] have spotted some on their roads, too.

Yeah, I've seen one on the road and one at the dealer, which was there for about two days then sold it.

I've seen over 10 Skys in Daytona Beach, and a handful of Solstices.

my neighbor has a nice red one. temp tags on it. it NEEDS dual exhaust (i know it's coming in the turbo sky.)

other than that, it's so nice. it hurts to say that i like a saturn.

Heh, I love how it's described as being seen on I-75, when I-75 is over 1,500 miles long. Odds of even a rare car like that on I-75 is pretty good

He said near Flint. That pretty much narrows it down.

There used to be a yellow one on display at the Saturn dealership in Southfield near where I live, not sure if it's still there. But yeah, I see them around here often now.

I've seen a couple around here in NoVa.
I think it was last month I was stuck next to a trailer carrying a load of Solstices on the beltway traffic. Then about two weeks ago I saw one with a couple of Skys on it along with other Saturns. Nice looking cars.

it looks pretty nice. however there's 2 things. #1. the resale value of it will drop like a rock just like probably 75-80% of GM's cars #2. reliability of it. I know it's still early to determine this. but if it's like most of GMs cars it will be a POS. if it was me and I was concidering a roadster(which I will be in about 2-3 years) I'd get a Z4 M in a HEARTBEAT. yes it's 50 grand but it's basically a Z4 with a M3 motor.

That's the problem w/ some of these cars... 170hp and 162ft/lbs isn't going to cut it...

The Redline on the other hand, w/ 260hp in a 2900lb chassis is going to be a decent competitor for the S2000...

A friends mom purchased one and he took it up a local moutain trying to follow me in my old S2000. Lost him half way up, I drove it down. Handles 'ok' the stock tires are decent but over all it's not a 'band handling Saturn' . Wouldn't drive one though.

i live next to a saturn dealership and have seen a few of them. I actually got the chance to race a soltice. He probably though his pontiac was faster than mine. I blew his doors off with 1/4 throttle.

Would have loved to see the look on his face.

Does not change the fact that its still an Z4 and ugly as sin.

Those skys look pretty suite, but they are a saturn. Even if GM is turning around thier bad rap, I cannot bring myself to drive any GM. I just cant do it.

They're not slow, they're 177hp (7hp quicker than pontiac solstice). It's actually pretty peppy. My coworker has a red Solstice and it doesn't feel slow at all. It's a small roadster, well worth it. The Sky looks like a mini viper, very nice.

I was headed south on the parking lot called I-95 out of DC Friday and saw two going north, one silver and one red.

Having driven a Solstice it was apparent an enthusiast would either buy a MX-5 new or if they could deal with the used issue would get a S2k.

Its a good looking car. IMO i think its a hell of a lot nicer than the solstice, i know they are essentially the same car as far as mechanics go, but the sky is so much better looking. The standard engines not bad for the price. its around 20K or so ( i think) and 177hp, not bad relative to its price range.

Over the wknd I went to my local Costco and saw brand spankin-new Aston Martin DB9 galcier/light blue parked parked. Squeezed between a soccer mom van and a dirty dirty JEEP.
