Sat in the new Maxima

Woah the seats in the 2005 Maxima are comfortable. Nice and cushy. The TL seats arent as cushy. The interior in the Maxima is still ugly though.

I actually liked most of the interior on the new Maxima. The only thing I really didn't like was the terry cloth on the door panels. But I thought for the price, the rest of the interior was up there with anything else in it's price range. It's not as nice as the TL, but remember, you can get the Maxima all day long for right around invoice. And right now they have a $1000 rebate on them. So the real price is about $3K less than the TL. And the Maxima interior is much nicer than the G35.

The first thing I noticed when I sat in the 6th gen Maxima when it first came out was how solid the door sounded when you closed it.
I loved the Maxima. I love the 3rd to 5th gen Maximas. That's when it was actually considered a "4DSC".

Yeah, the seats are nice but thats about it..

The Maxima is a bloated pig with torque steer.

Anyone that complains about TS on Acuras should try a Maxima.

I don't like the view out of the rear view mirror...It's high up, can't see much behind you when looking through the mirror. Otherwise, nice, comfortable, quiet, fast!

The Maxima also offers power folding side-view mirrors, heated steering wheel, power tilt/telescoping wheel and a rear sunshade.

I agree, very comfortable inside. I also like the dual moonroofs, even though they don't open.

I wish Honda would offer something as big and comfortable.

Dual moonroofs?? Sounds more like the Quest 3.5SE. The Maxima offers a Skyview Roof OR a conventional power moonroof.

And Honda does offer something as big and comfortable: the $50G Acura RL.

Yeah, that Skyview roof, that's what I really meant.

I haven't sat inside an RL yet, but from the initial reports, it's not that much bigger than an Accord on the inside. And I've been inside the Accord, so I can say the Maxima is much more roomy than the Accord, which leads me to believe it's more roomy than the RL But we'll see in the spring when I sit in one at the NY Auto show.

I havent tried the new RL but stay tuned. BTW, the new RL is already on the street; I saw my first one on 34th street @ McDonalds while heading to Penn sta. Very understated appearance, that's for certain.
