Wow, I just saw the thread about the Challenger. I'm happy to see that you and the kids are alright. It looks like the car did it's job protecting them. That was some serious damage.
Good luck with the new truck! It looks awesome!

I'm assuming the Durango has cylinder deactivation right? Even with that I'm sure the MPG has to be worse than the Challenger.
Does Diablo have a tuner for the Durango yet?

Wow, I am late to the party, but that is a great looking ride!
I guess I never gave the Durango much thought, but the R/T looks awesome. The paint it great with the flecks, and the interior looks really nice.
Congrats, mazel tov, and many good miles in it!

Yes to being worse than the Challenger (1 ton heavier BUT it takes mid-grade and can take regular as opposed to the 6 spd Challenger which is premium)
And Yes there is a tuner for it...which Im seriously considering because I know on the Challenger when it was just a canned tune (prior to going custom) I actually got better mpg than stock.

Parked next to another black RT durango today...owner came out and gave me a wave and smile.
Kinda awesome. I got that in the challenger a lot. Never expected that in the SUV.

Soooo I may or may not have just received a used Diablosport Intune-DCX
Currently running the 87 Performance Tune which should be good for +8hp/+10tq and improved mpg. So, we'll see how that goes.
The 91 tune would add another 5hp/5tq

Very late to this party, and hadn't posted in a long time. Very nice buy. But more importantly you and your family survived the Challenger crash.
I have to ask about the interior, I have seen the similar center stack in the new 200 and this. Are the materials and fit/finish pretty nice? I was never a fan of some of the previous interiors so I'd like your opinion, because this seems like a step in the right direction.

There is some harder plastic where the screen/controls are (to be expected) and down where the gear select is...but it feels correctly placed (though a nicer finish would always be welcome)
I very much consider this vehicle erring on the side of being a luxury car. Ive always liked the Durangos a lot...but Im growing to love this thing.

But it's worth it I'm sure. I would love one of those. They have some nice road presence.

Man, nice to hear how much you're enjoying this. We are going to be in the market for a 3 row SUV this summer, and the '14 Durango is at the top of my list if I can find one in the price range I need.
Unfortunately, the wife will be the main driver, and she favors the Honda Pilot. I have a feeling that once she drives both, she may be swayed though.
Like others, I'm hugely impressed with how far the Durango has come. I learned of it several months ago and haven't found a 3-rower that can really compete since, obviously within the price range.

Not totally sure but I'm at 1400 miles now so I passed it. Rating is 14/23 and about 17 combined.
A good chunk of my highway driving this last tank was climbing high elevations.
This current number includes using the 87 canned tune and disabling Eco mode when I drive.
