Sarlacc 2.0

I'm starting a new thread so I don't have to keep bringing up pics of the wreck and transition this to a "I moved on" thread.

Last Sunday I called the dealer I bought my last 2 mopars from, and they had a leftover 2014 Durango RT (Nav, Sunroof, Tow package) Honestly, I just wanted Nav and the Premium leather package (AC seats, etc etc etc) but pickings are slim on the 14s and the deal was too good. $6k off stick (4k under invoice) and 0% financing.

So, I said Ok write up the paperwork and deliver it me. The dealer is an hour away, and they made the offer for delivery. A few hours later a flatbed showed up at my place and I had the truck.

I've been busy as shit lately, so today was really the first day I've had to drive it and even take some photos. Not the best, but I managed to fit some snaps in between meetings and errands today.

I was able to head up to the salvage yard where the Challenger currently resides and recover my plates...So, the Sarlacc namesake shall live again.

At some point Ill go out and take some real photos of the exterior.

Man those instrument clusters look FANCY.

Why can Acura jump on something like that?

Car seats aren't good after an accident? Never knew that. Congrats on the new wheels, sat in one at the NYIAS and I was impressed.

Yup...Not worth the risk, you are supposed to check them. Insurance will reimburse for new ones.

Sick photos! She looks like a beast. And those wheels. What are the wheel/tire specs?

Dude you should go with Recaro child seats. I love mine and they match the red accents perfectly.

We've been happy with Britax. I'm probably going to stick with those...but I did eyeball the recaros for a long time.

Wheels are 20x8.0. Tires are 265/50-20, yeah I really dig these wheels. they are like a gunmetal.

Congrats. Nice pick. The instrument cluster is the same as the JGC. There are a number of cool features there. One (of many) things I like is the independent tire pressure readings / gauges.

Yeah, its pretty much the same as my wife's Cherokee.

I like the familiarity between the two vehicles. Its very much what I wanted.

Congrats David. I will have to wait until I get home to see the excellent pictures.

BTW, I have a Traverse LTZ, and I love the chilled seats. I love taking roadtrips in that thing.

Admittedly I am not an SUV fan at all but that is a great looking vehicle. I drive 4-500 miles/week so a V8 would definitely not fit in my plans but it works for you and that's what counts.

Yup, insurance will reimburse you as well. So pretty much your car seat is insured.

I love my Recaro. I actually have to buy another one with the other baby on the way.

The Durango is sick, I always drool over the R/T that lives around the corner from me.

Congratulations. The Durango interior looks great.

How do you like the Cherokee limited? I see quite a few of them in the Boston area. I think they look good in person.

Love it. Loooove it.

The trailhawk was on my shortlist til I decided the 3rd row would better suit my needs.

I like it. Quick and easy.
I do miss having s shift knob to rest my hand on, but I have the paddle shifters if I want to have fun.

Same here. The JGC is our first American car, and we are very please with a ton of things this vehicle offers. Here is a good video about the UConnect system, which I really like.

Should have been purple.

I don't understand the move going from a "fun" car to a second one of the same utilitarian type that you already have.

Specially with the new Mustang.
