Said goodbye to the TL...
I finally said goodbye to the 2006 TL NBP/Ebony 6MT:
I went through a lot of things with the TL but say hello to the new car:
2008 Accord:
My friend thought the car was turbo'd:

Thanks for the comments.
Both cars are employee leased for two years. I had a 2004 RRP/Camel 6MT TL before the NBP/ Ebony 6MT. I loved it so much that I went with another TL. The two years for the NBP/Ebony TL was almost up and I was already bored of them and I wanted something new and exciting, which was perfect timing because the new Accord was released.
The Accord feels a lot bigger inside than the TL for the driver. But to me, the interior materials of the Accord has a sort of "cheaper" feel than what was in the TL. It also has a lot more buttons than the TL but that could be not being used to navigation. The Accord has noticebly more torque than the TL and I've never took it past 3K rpm because it's still under break-in. One thing that I really don't like are the unpredictable brakes. The TL's brakes made me feel what they were doing, unlike the Accord's. I would step on the pedal and get no reaction until I slightly nudge it down and get a full force stop, but it could be that I was not able to break them in either. The Accord absorbs the bumps better too. My favorite difference is that the Accord produces more HP/Torque on 87 octane than the TL did on 91 octane. Thats all I could think of for now.
It wasn't just more HP and both cars are 6MT. It was my second TL and I was bored with them. I would've gone to the TSX but they are due for a redesign soon and I wanted to drive something not outdated. I would've gone to the RL but MT isn't an option for them. I was actually considering an Element SC until I saw the Accord's new design. I knew that was the car to choose.

Is this car even sold in Japan? If not, I don't understand what they were thinking.

The new Accord looks really nice! Esp in red! Any plans for it? Throw some wheels on there and drop it, thats about all you can do with a lease...

To the OP: nice color combo!

Nice car! I drove a 08 Accord for the first time last week, it was a nice improvement over the previous generation, a natural evolution. Overall the car left a very good impression on me, by far the best Accord to date.

The new Accord is AWESOME!! There was one just like that on my college campus for some reason expect it was white and an auto, but everyone loved it. They all kept talking about "did you see that car?" "wow thats a honda it looks way more expensive then a honda" and "That is such an awesome car." Pretty much everyone loved it and I am sure you will too.

Nice choice... I've got a Red CL 6spd, so the Accord is pretty much it's replacement in the Honda/Acura lineup, so you won't get any arguments from me about red 6mt h/a products
Still doesn't make much sense... You let the car sit for 2 years till you got your license ?? Methinks there's more to the story

Beautiful Accord BTW! I wasn't too sure on the new design at first but they've definitely grown on me and I really like them now. Of course I'm also partial to red like GM is. Nice choice!

But the bad thing is, they do not sell the 2 door. It's just not popular. That's why no CL's here, and no Accord 2 doors.....I'd love to have a 2 door that could potentially seat 5 (although the back seat occupants are kids)
And in the pictures I've seen, the hand brake (E-brake) is close to the driver, on the right of the shifter. So it must be a US specific tunnel they installed.

Nice car man, thats a great color combo on the coupe. Do the 6-speed Accords have a LSD?
And all MT cars I've driven/been in had it on the right side from what I remember. Others had it right in the center behind the shifter (annoying)
