S2000 wtih ITB's

Streetfire Click to watch

Sounds pretty nice, anyone know how much that ITB setup runs?

One question I always had is how much crap do those things suck in without a filter? I'd imagine they're fine in a race car where the engine is maintained after every race, but for the average joe driver isn't it a bit too much? I'd hope they make filters for each one.

Sounds like a race car, not surprisingly. From what I recall, there are special filter setups that can be used on the ITBs, though it does reduce the flow a bit.

I would assume ITB's give better fuel economy due to better flow of air into each port. If there is a filter setup for it I'd bet it's a great way to increase power and economy (though with that speed I'm sure one would drive agressively thus lowering fuel economy).

Is this setup obtainable with DBW? (What does the pipeline look for this badboy on a TSX?

There is already at least one ITB setup for the K-series motor that I have seen. It's a little harder on the K-series because of the orientation of the motor, but it can be done. Unfortunately, no DBW. You could probably run it on the K24 using an RSX-S K-Pro ECU.

me too it looked like he was reading something.

The car is loud as hell! looks pretty quick though.

Don't the BMW m5/m6 motors have individual throttle bodies with a standard induction system?

yeah, well that was the first time i've seen this vid. and had heard about the S2K with this setup but had never looked into it.

you can see the E46's six ITBs inline here. all fed by the crazy CF intake.

that is a CSL M3....

even tho regular E46 m3 have ITB but it is restricted by a large intake box + tubes + filter + the plastic vents in the front.
