I didnt think it would actually happen though.

And for an auto 3? I test drove one of those things a few months ago - the steering and handling was more numb than almost anything I've ever driven.

One thing that messess(?) me up is switching b/w my car the wifes. In the 335 the breaks are so frickin touchy. In my wifes car (a passat) i have to put my foot thru the firewall to get the thing to stop. Lotta fun on the days i switch back and forth

probably because the civic is ugly and slower and the sentra is ugly too.

The new Civic looks a lot better than the 3 The Sentra however, is the ugliest turd i've seen in a while.

 

I hate to say im actually have to agree with this waste of space.

New 3 has a nice exterior (specially the hatch) but the interior is only ok.

The new civic looks hot in and out. I love the interior.

Didnt you get the s2k for like 18k? The interest rate can't be that much of a difference. I think you just have a case of can't make up your mind

 

Interest rate on a used car most of the time is always higher.

Unless you find a dealer is who is offering specials on slightly used models. Plus insurance was pricey on the s2k. I just didnt want to keep it for many reasons.

Anyways, topic has been beaten to death. Time to move on, I will make a new thread in the future either about a month review or what I buy next.

Mazda 3 Hatch is a good lookin' car.

I love the look of the Civic SI Sedan.

 

I love the Civic Si sedan, I had a blast driving one. I would buy one.

 

gotta disagree on this one. I have a 3 and fiance an 07 Civic, by far the interior fit, finish, all around is better in the 3.

I totally understand not minding driving an econo car places you don't want to take a $30K+ car. Nice to blend in and not attract unnecessary attention. There are times and places I'd rather not take or leave my TL. Just depends on where you have to go sometimes.

 

Not talking about fit and finish...civic loses a little there with the wobbly center arm console, but its very livable.

Talking about the design. the 3 is nice, but too busy for my tastes. I could live it if I was rocking a MS3. But I love the interior design of the new civic. Its like being a in a spaceship.

 

gotcha, yeah I do like the design of the civic's interior for sure. The 3's interior I love coming from the 02 si which was bland. I wanted a MS3 but I was sick of driving manual in traffic

 

The MS3 is such an awesome little car. Sadly, I am in no need of another turbo FWD hatch otherwise it would be mine.

Crazy Sellout - I dont see a problem with switching cars out often. Most people on this board would love to. I just think your contentment with you car just varies depending on the day. Some days you want something, next week you want something else next month youre back to where you started, until tomorrow.

I have that personal bias - drive what you love. Period. Nothing less should do. An end goal should be in mind, otherwise youre just spending a lot of extra money testing the waters.

 

Name another car besides the S2k that I have been like that with? From day one i was wishy-washy with the S2k about keeping or selling. Never like that with any other car I had bought.

I wanted a track only car but i changed my priorities and now needed something for work that was 4 doors. Plain and simple.

Now my 335i will have to pull track duty on the few times i make it out on the track. Woe is me.

 

At least i hardly lost anything from the S2k and i was able to experience the fun factor that most people talk about. Still was worth it.

 

Ahem! ... 275hp/287tq at the WHEELS in my MS3.

 

I agree that in comparison to the Civic it's definitely got more going on but it's not like someone threw a pack of chiclets at it.

To me, that will always be the definition of busy ... What seems like hundreds of inscrutable buttons with no logical layout. Kinda like this:

I did my first mod.

Bought a stubby antenna.

 

the antenna that sticks out from the roof is the one thing i don't like about the 3.

If you are quoting stock #s it is measured at the crank. If you are getting this at the wheels...what are your mods and lets see a dyno.

 

No!!! Get the RDX antenna. Cheaper at $8 and fit better. I have one on my Mazda3 HB.

Btw, Excellent car. I love my 3 more than TSX. Fun to drive.

I don't think anyone is bashing Jesal and if they were I'd be one of the first to defend him. Half the people here love giving him a hard time because, well, he's been here so long and we know him so well.

 

I thought they made 263 hp stock at the crank or something like that?
