whats up guys,

here's the story, i work with a kid that has a acura RSX typeS with a stage 1 turbo kit runing 7psi.. he has never dynoed the car but it should be putting about 230hp to the wheels... he talks all kinds of shit that he can beat my CL... for those of you that don't know about my car (see sig )

who do you guys think will win????

Which kit does he have? I assume the second one. Which dynos at 275hp at the wheels. But turn up the boost just little bit and it'll do 300whp.

RSX has the power to weight advantage, so even if the CL gets the jump (unless it's horrible) the RSX could still pull up on it.

Car vs Car the RSX wins, with human error anything is possible.

Yeah, but that CL has like 277tq to go along with that 250hp (compared to maybe 200 tq for the RSX-S)! I dunno Siggy...

Ouch...if this dude is running low 13s (with his fuel prob fixed) you must have some sweet @$$ CLs. I love my CL but it is pretty heavy and even the SC doesn't get the CL that low, does it?

Put it this way. A neon SRT-4 weighs about the same as an RSX-S. The SRT makes 230 at the wheels. Their have been timeslips of stock SRT's pulling consistant 13.4 on many occasions. Now the neon has more torque, but so should the RSX with the turbo. If the RSX is making 230 horses it should be making at least 200lbs ft of tq. 200 lbs ft, 230 horses and light weight, combined with a high revving motor means that even if he is making less power than you, he will be holding boost for a long as time with that high revver and he will have a much broader tq and hp curve than you have. I say the rsx, but he may be a shitty driver, so i call a driver race on this one.

OK...chances are the RSX dude doesn't kow how to get the most potential out of his car. Also considering that Allmotors turbo CL-S w/ major other mods ran a 12.9...I don't see the RSX getting any lower than 13.5-13.7 w/ a great driver! Now if u say u can run a 13.4 w/ fuel problems...have they been fixed???Also that was on street tires...will u be putting on DR's for this race???Anyways I personally believe the CL will win but not by much. Well soon see.

well if stock neons run 14.0 on street tires, they can prolly run a 13.4 with drag tires. every .1 in the 60ft = about .2 on the ET. I know a guy running 12.7 with a boost controller, down pipe and slicks. This guy is a pretty good driver, he ran 13.8 on a bone stock S4.

I'd probably go with the CL in this race. CL is an auto right? So les chance of driver error in the CL in a race I think comes down to the driver.

go to srtforums .com The 04's come with lsd and better tires from the manufacturer. There are some freaks wikth videos of them running mid 13's stocl. There are a shit load of them running 12's. Some of those guys are aiming for 11's.

? I'll disagree. Weight is key at the launch is well. RSX has much less weight to get moving.

IS RSX-S 6 speed ? I thought the typeS was only available with stick.
