LMAO, no B8 owner could ever ever compete with a B5 owner for that title.
I did lead the way in 8 ring ownership though for him and @Marcelechka

These are the wheels I have, I think they will look good in black...and it will be a more updated look than peelers.

@TylerT @Marcelechka
@1killercls Peasant! If you're going gloss black, you could do just donut spares and it'll look about the same so I agree...love the one you're with.

Bird is the Word
Thanks brother...
I do love them!
Dude, after having the aftermarket wheels...the second I put the peelers back on I was like fuck that...
I LOVE how they look. I actually picked up a cheap set of S5 19" rotors and threw them on the S5 and immediately
pulled them off and passed them onto to @Predatorbird since I knew he loved them and I loved the peelers more.

in hindsight I probably should have at least TRIED them on the S4
@Predatorbird but I was so happy with the S5 fitment peelers look on
both of the other Audi that I was like, NOPE...no need.
They do look dope on your car though.

^^I beg to differ.
Almost A7 time!
Can't fuckin wait.
@TylerT
Thermostat and Water Pump Done on the S5.
Every time I work on this car I think to myself...
I love the way it is put together. Everything is very
precise the way it goes together, and solid.
The saga continues. Next thing to tackle is
motor mounts on the S4...I suspect they are cooked...
thanks a lot to the last launch I did, I think. I have only
launched a handful of times although @SamDoe1 did
say with wet clutches I should be fine. I just don't like
putting that sort of strain on the drivetrain repeatedly.
Anyway...last thing will be pcv system which I can do if
I start getting codes for that.

Wet clutches will make sure that the transmission is fine...not everything else lol. That said, I can't imagine that doing a launch is going to cook a motor mount just because of that. It was likely on its way out well before you tried to see how fast the S4 goes.
Glad you're able to do all this by yourself, can't imagine how much a stealership would charge for similar work lol.

Yeah, the motor mounts are actually a known weakness....so much so that almost all the online retailers ONLY sell the upgraded 034 motorsports solid rubber ones and not OEM at all.
Thanks Sam...yeah, what I love is I get to practice on one then do it to the other without either car being down all the way.
Makes is more and less daunting at the same time.

I don't know why I do that...I feel like when the sentences run long it makes it harder for people to read them
so I cut them off myself.

that bitch looks kinda good rollin...
let my uncle take her for a spin...
when he got back and told me he hadn't heard any whine...
I knew I had to take him around the block.
Needless to say he said it feels like a rollercoaster.

Got the mounts in on the S4. Not a hard job, but reasonably challenging for a first time install.
It'll be a breeze when I do the S5 now that I confirmed that those are blown too
Subframe drop, steering rack drop, sway drop...then you have to finagle to get the 2 bolts in front of the
oil cooler...
As predicted, both my mounts were cooked
this little ditty from HF worked perfectly...funny enough, the hooks look custom made for the B8.5 engine
Fell in love with the damn thing all over again...seriously...it's like a new car...I think it even affected steering since motor
mounts directly to the subframe from the side.

You make custom furniture...
which takes as much time and probably a lot more skill.
This would be a walk in the park for you
Thanks, Sam!
and why not...I was dirty and in need of a haircut but I did a little review of the mounts...
this mf spittin'
