The only thing that stopped me from modding the CL-S (past the cosmetic stuff I had -- bodykit and wheels) was the price of Comptech parts. The headers, exhaust system, and charger were just stupidly pricey.

You ain't kidding... which is probably why I kept it stock until last year; got the car in summer of '06.

PASSED! LOL...Past/Passed is one of my hardest ones to use correctly...and I'm a grammar Nazi. No doubt, man. Honestly, I recall people picking or not picking a car based on the aftermarket options and support and I never really GOT it until now. Coming from the TL where a used exhaust is 1000-1200 to the S where you can pick one up for 400 and there are like 50 different exhaust setups and tuning options and forced induction options. It's refreshing, and although it keeps pricing reasonable, the dangling carrot that is modding this car is too hard NOT to grab at.

Steven, I once put a spreadsheet together for the TL...kept up with it for 2 years...I eventually stopped updating it because 1) I felt fkn stupid 2) I was appalled at how much I spent. I stopped counting, but in a way I wish I had maintained it. But I learned my lesson, no prices...just smiles. Cost me $1 and gave me 1000 smiles. There! Plus, I'm much more hellbent on my SECOND car to get killer deals or pass to keep the modding cost/recovery of lower when I sell the car down the line. I don't see that happening. Guess how many days I drove the TL this work week. ZERO. ZEROOOOO. LOL...at this rate, i won't have to do my 105K service for another 2 years I am in love with the S2000, as much as I am with the TL. No joke...

wanna hear a 1st world problem?
When I drive the S and see someone in a lowered TSX or TL and I'm like...NOOOO I "hey you...I have one too! it's at home, i'm not lying, we're TL brothers" and same with the TL, in TL and see another S go by...same reaction. In my head of course, can't have EVERYONE knowing I'm nuts.

Okay, here's my update: In preparation for lowering the car slightly, I put the lip protector back on...I had it on for a month when last I caught a raised manhole cover with it and put a crack on the lip
I had said fk that but now I realize I have a much better idea of how little front ground clearance this car has and I'm more careful. Plus, with the black of the badges, soft top and heads/tails...I like the silver on black theme going.

I also decided to throw the clear CR sides on again with the chrome dipped bulb...you'll notice they're on with parking lights thanks to the Modifry unit I added in. Let the back and forth and swapping begin!

Snapped a few quick pics last night...

Or, if I'm feeling a little more tame, my hand squeegie and XL absorber

Maybe I'm just too lazy but I didn't see if you removed the windshield tape yourself or if it came that way.

I removed mine and love it!

Holy heck dude, why the hell would Honda hide that area with black? It'd make the car look like a damn old school claw foot tub with top down...

I guess previous dude did it...paint there looks impeccable.

I remember reading when you first got the car and how you where going to keep it stock lol.. I knew that wasn't going to last long judging from everything you've done to the TL. Regardless the S looks great man looking forward to see just how far you mod it haha

I knew I couldn't be the only one!

Meko, are you kidding me, 2 pages ago you said I needed to lower it. Yes, it's on espelir springs...sits super low...I'll probably go another 1/2" lower and I'll be removing the front spacer until I get the perfect balance between driveable, being able to clear the speed bumps coming into my place, and eliminating as much wheel gap as possible. Luckily, I can't go much more and I shouldn't need driveshaft spacers or create too much worse camber only going 1/2" more.

I found Steven's FETISH!

Thank you very much, man! Hmm...waiting on replacement spanner wrenches but seriously considering getting the coils on now...I can temporarily lock height in with screwdriver.

Snapped a few at work yesterday

Nooooooooooo
I said it's a perfect height for my taste, it's just the rear that needs to be lower, because I hate cars that doesn't sit sitraight on the road
Which many TL owners here doesn't do

and that first picture is the best picture I've seen in my entire life
perfect tone that even black emblem catches attention

I love you Mehmet. Like, more than friends. You're a cool and very kind guy. Thanks a lot and I agree, rear will be slightly lowered, can't go down in front much...maybe 1/4", rear will be a 1/2"

Wait until you see what I just test fitted...REALLY wish the S2000 didn't have a 70.1MM front hub instead of 64.1

The poke ain't bad...it's actually pretty flush but I'd need to do 225 front tire (don't NEED TO but I'd want to. As well as a shave off 6MM from the front 2 barrels (or all 4 if I were to rotate) and buy custom hubcentric rings. Lots of work...for now, I'll stand down, but it's on the back burner. I'm loving how they look!

WOW thats a lot of work....

i like how the ASPECS look on your TL better than they look on the S2000...you think after all the work, you will be able to swap them to the TL if needed?

Basically, what I'd likely do is bore out the centers to 73.1mm like most traditional aftermarket wheels...then, I already have multiple sets of 73.1mm hub centric rings that drop down to 64.15mm...and I'd just need 1 that drops to 70.1. Basically, that would allow me to rotate tires...

The Aspecs need tires so I'd look into going a little more narrow...225/40/18 like I have on the Advan and that should sit perfectly.

I'm not SOLD on doing it yet, but it's a strong possibility since they're just hanging no the wall and they would a a very UNIQUE look for the S2000...doubt anyone else has bothered to make that work as you'd have to own a pair of aspecs to begin with.

Aspec 48.5 LBS @ 235 width
Front S2000 37.5 LBS
Rear is 44 LBS

So, not a HUGE gain, considering...and let's face it...it's an ENKEI wheel, so it's quality.

Thanks for all the feedback everyone, I will seriously have to consider making this happen. I'm either going to tackle myself with a suggestion from Wacker, or I'll see how much a machine shop would charge to do it. I'd likely bore to 73.1 since that's the size of most aftermarket wheels and would allow me to still easily sell or run hubcentric rings on the TL down the line.

J.

Also...got the height basically dialed in. Love love love it...rides like a dream compared to the lowering springs and although it was ALREADY sitting pretty low, the additional 3/4" make a huge visual difference, placing the rims in the exact center of the well. I'm in love with these buddy club coils.
