Rockstar143's '04 RYP S2000 Progress Thread **Updated Regularly**

^^^No way, man...that straight line acceleration you showed me of the chipped one looks like it'll give you that rush you've been looking for. The S2000 is fun to do donuts in the rain, and is a pleasure to cruise and drive around town and on the highway, I'll give it that, but I it's not going to give you a gut check rush unless you go FI.
I do appreciate the sentiment though, that's really nice of you to say.

Never mind, there we go:
So, after some thought on whether or not I wanted to wrap, or paint the headers...I only have enough wrap for either exhaust or header and I figured header would look cleaner and nicer with just the VHT flameproof paint. So I painted it...

It's not a wepost if the guy has not posted it on AZ yet.
I go wepost-poreece on people when they post an image on this forum a bazillion times in a bazillion different threads.
And then, it escalates into full-wetard when the guilty party can't take it that they've been outed and then flies into a rage, PMs, IMs, and e-mails me to death over it.
Capisce? Okay. Capisce.
Carry on.

Thank you guys...
1) FI will likley occur in the distant future! I'm actually happy with the factory power, I just really enjoy driving the car and not being scared by any low down torque, in the rain, with torque I can imagine plenty of "oops I crapped my pants" feelings. For now, I'll be content with I/H/E and eventually find out what tuning option will be best for me, move Vtec point down to 4K, yada yada.
2) No, I'm not swapping the tips over (at least for now), as much as I love the oval perfectly shaped tips...same thing happened with the TL, I am not going to be happy with an exhaust that still looks like the stock one and the larger round invidia tips fit the bumper opening REALLY well. Who knows, it is possible to do a tip swap though, so never say never.
3) I hate how obviously hypocritical I am. Sure enough...not 3 months ago I state that I'm NOT modding this car and I'll keep it stock because it's perfect and I just want to drive it and here we are...full exhaust, coilovers on the way and surfing the S2 sights right along with AZ. Dangit.
Okay, so, I will say this...EFF YOU salt and snow...I don't know how you guys do it...this car was originally from up North and I managed to crack my craftsman 14MM socket (replace free!)...I had to use my 1/2" breaker bar and impact rated extended sockets and penetrating fluid on almost all header bolts/nuts.
Got it though...
Got the exhaust/header wrapped, in addition to the high temp ceramic coating on the header. Got the oem header and test pipe off...not bad for 2 hours of work.
Then, I called it a day! I love having a 2nd car!
