Pretty much what a few others have said. A ricer is someone who takes a car and favors visual details over anything that would improve performance in any way.

btw anyone know wtf the point is of having a slanted license plate like in that pic? I've seen plenty of ricers around here with that crap on the rear.

 

Ricers are cheap body kits with fart cans that rev at every car on the road. No "4 bangers" are not all rice i.e. s2000, lotus elise and exige, evo, sti and many other cars, so to say all inline 4 are ricer is a ricer comment.

Like someone said earlier watch the fast and furious and most the cars you see are "rice"

My personal definition of 'rice' would be anything, that makes a vehicle (car, plane, truck, SUV, bicycle, go-cart, motorcycle... etc...) look completely and utterly stupid. That includes, things that make it have the appearance of speediness, yet lack the ability to be fast.

This is NOT limited to imports, any brand of car can be rice, even exotics like Ferrari's.
