Rice, old school, and a huge shopping cart.

So, a few weekends ago, I went to a little festival they have in the town I live in. They block part of downtown off for 2 days, and I decided to check it out.

Now, I moved to NC about 4 years ago, and moved to this town 2 1/2 years ago. And was laughing the first time I heard the name of the festival; Ham and Yam Festival. I had never been since, so I walked to it, seeming it's only about 4 blocks from my house. And as I approached, I could here Bluegrass music.

I thought, oh shit, this ought to be good.

So I took some shots of the "car show" they had, and got some winners. Some weren't bad, some were riced, and the other, well, you decide.

I gotta say I like the attitude displayed by the Continental and the shopping cart and wouldn't mind owning either one. Looks like a fun car show even for a city boy like me.

the conti was nice, but so many people were walking around, I couldn't get any really nice shots of it, plus it was sunny as hell out. I didn't bring my car cause I walked the few blocks to downtown, and I didn't even know they were showing cars. Besides, most of the cars there were not that nice. Most were cheap cars with big rims, no drop, ugly paint jobs, and shitty sounding systems.

Seriously. In my frequent travels from the NYC area to Florida (frequenting the South), I find that Southern Rice almost makes the rice here in NJ seem tolerable.....almost reasonable.

Thanks for sharing the pics. I dig the Conti ...I have in mind to some day soon get a big old American land yacht like that; I'm a fan of the suicide doors so the Continentals are high on my list.

Is that a little PC cam on the Conti's hood?
