Return of......Nissan 370z

Oky guys,

Guess whos back again......................................Me.

Here is the pictures of my Z..

Purchasing this car shows that I am NOT a fanboy of a certain brand. I will give respect any car that deserves it. For the money, this is the best sports car around 30,000, thats why I bought it.

Geesh, spending 30K just to show to an internet forum that you're not something people say you are. Wow, how lame. GTFO!!!!

J/K That's a good purchase there! I've been contemplating the same color too. What interior color and options does your car come with?

Nice car.

I think the small changes to this model helps a lot. I kinda agree with 55 on the front. It's better, but I would love to see them make the headlights not stand out so much.

I really wish they would let go of the whole 'aluminum' door handle thing. didn't fit on the last Z, doesn't fit on this one.

Honestly, this was one of the feature that made me pick over all other cars. I was looking at New Camaro, New mustang, Genesis Coupe and they all dont have it. Period.

When I went to Nissan dealership to test drive it, I was sold.

SynchroRev match, i don't even know where to start. If you have been reading all the reviews from countless magazines, it says that its one of the best feature you can have for the manual.

I have been driving manual for +5 years, and i always try to master the heal-and-toe but its so hard getting it perfect all the time!

SyncroRev match does heal and toe so perfectly, EVERYTIME I downshift !!!!!! Its so smooth, you dont even feel the car nudge, and its so efficient. The only problem I thought I was going to have is losing the fun of heal and toe action by doing it myself, but, this feature lets you focus on the road and cornering so you can drive faster.

And if you dont like this feature, you can turn it off.

I see the SyncroRev match as between hardcore manual and automatic transmission.

Manual---> SyncroRev match -----> Double clutch Automatic(Ferrari, Lambo, BMW M class), --------> Automatic.

And for people who are shocked that I didnt get GenCoupe, I chose Nissan 370z because it is a better sports car. I know Gencoupe is going to be amazing car for its price, but Z is simply the best sports car for the price range between $25,000 - $35,000.

Now i know that GenCoupe isnt even out yet, but from countless reviews, articles, pictures and videos, from Korean websites, I can deduce that 370z is faster, handles better, and stops better.

And for the looks, its all subjective. Go and see 370z in real life, and tell me.

I like the looks of GenCoupe, but I think 370z looks so much more aggressive with wide side flares and lowered stance, and most importantly, it has so much potential to look so wicked.

There is a blacked out headlight 370Z right now in www.the370z.com I looks sooooooo sick..

I envision my Z to be lowered, Blacked out headlight, rims, exhaust..etc....

I don't think anyone can disagree with that reasoning. I know I don't. I'm just surprised that it was you who came to that decision.

Enjoy the Z

So how much was it on the road? This thread got me curious so I priced one out up here. Starts at $39,998 + 4K for the sports package. Add in tax and dest....51K.

As much as I like the new Z, and I do, the way that 19s do not look right on that car bothers me.

The wheels are nicer than what you got on the first gen in that price range (except for the Tracks of course) but the car looks weird. It's set too high in clearance, the wheels don't come out far enough ... It just looks poorly executed.

Maybe I'm nitpicking but aesthetically it's a sore point for me.

There are two models for 370z, Base and Touring.

Base starts $29,899. Touring starts around $35,000.

The main difference between Base and Touring is that Touring has leather seats, upgraded sound system, and you can also get an navigation for extra +2,000.

Sports package is available for both models, and it will damage your bank account for +3,000. I have explain what Sports package consists of earlier in this thread.

Mine is base model + sports package. Thereofore, about 29,899 + 3,000 = $32,889. But I am not dumb enough to buy at that price from dealership, so after +2 hours of negotiation and harassing, the final price I got was around $30,000.

The area looks very familiar to where my wife grew up. And, I saw the VA inspection sticker (or whatever that thing is in the window)
