Rented a new Sebring convertible

I was in NYC this weekend. Dollar gave me this brand new 08 Sebring convertible with 44 miles on it.

I was impressed. It was a damn nice car. Had leather, & even a decent stereo. Nice interior layout & drove very well.
Had no power, but you can't drive all that fast in NYC anyway.

Weather was great so the top was down almost the whole weekend. Even took it to the Yankee games I went to. Way too nice to take the train.

If anyone is looking into a convertible check it out

Cool. I tried to get Dollar to give me one of those when I went to Ashville the last time. They said it was already rented.

I had one as a long-term insurance rental when I damaged my Accord. Although mine was a mid-level model (Touring, I think) with the wheezy, sludge-prone 2.7L V6, it was a nice cruising car. I managed to put close to 6K miles on it as it was my first real convertible experience.
I tried out the E85 fuel and the mileage was atrocious. It's a shame you don't see many of them on the road. I think they are pretty nice looking cars...especially the ones with the steel convertible tops

Meh....I don't like them. Others I've spoken to who have rented them said they are extremely cheap inside (nothing new here). My parents have an 04 (sedan, old body style) and it is very cheap inside as well. Definitely not my thing. At least it doesn't rattle like my TSX.

I always thought the older ones looked better....new ones are disturbingly ugly from the rear.

We once got stuck with a base model sedan from enterprise. It was horrible, but sounds like the convertible is better.

I agree with the older models. The 08 is a complete redo. I was surprised. The interior was nice. I didn't think it was cheap at all. The model I got had leather, sat radio, heated seats. I was impressed.

my sister just got a 08 Aspen w/Hemi like a month ago. i've seen new Dodge/Jeep products(5-10 years ago) where the fit and finish suck. the interior was crap etc etc.
I gotta say on Dodge's behalf I really think they are scared they are bearly treading water. the fit and finish is as good as Honda/Acura's the seats are great, the power was smooth and ample. overall dodge is stepping it up.
