Wow her head looks like some one put a bomb in it and went off. Man here head must have hit the wall at 100 mph and just exploded. Her brains where thrown down the side of the tool booth.

My father used to be a reporter and he covered some accidents he said were awful. As a lawyer he was involved in a case where some guy was driving drunk in that tunnel on Storrow Drive going into Boston and his friend was leaning out the window, you can guess what happened.

The fastest I have ever gone through a toll booth is probably like 35-40(we have fast lane). Trying to hit the booth at 100 would just be scary, unless one was going through the tractor trailer lane, but still...

People get ripped the fuck apart as this accident displays very gruesomely. My drivers ed teacher was upset by this stuff so we never were shown the pics, pity as I think after seeing these I am more apt to keep my driving in check.

how sad that she lost her life. I feel like hugging someone right now. Somebody give me an e-hug. Seriously tho, the guy in the honda could have easily lost his/her life as well. Doesn't matter if you're going the limit or driving safely. It's other drivers you gotta watch out for. When it's your time, can't do nothing about it.

I know some people who would be scared shitless from seeing those pics. I guess being a year or so younger than her made it hit more close to home? Also, seeing her yearbook picture...

I've seen pictures of a driver who was drunk and lost control when his passenger had his head out the window. Scrapped the car along the side of a house and ripped his buddy's face off, killing him. If you want to argue impact of pictures - those are much more persuasive do keep your shit under control, at least when you are carrying other passengers.

This makes me realize how F***ing dumb I was when I was 16 doing 100+ on main city roads late at night.

I'm truly glad I saw those pics...It really makes me realize that we are not invincible, as alot of us on here think we are. I'm sure tons of people on here hit speed of over 100+ on a weekly basis.

Sad to see this sort of thing brought to the public eye. Imagine the horror of the parents should they see these pictures. There is a very large number of people who view this site. Imagine one of them is an an Acura fan and knows the family of that girl. Imagine seeing your kid here for all to see in photos that are to put it mildly, HORRIFYING.

Granted the internet is largely anonymous and covered by freedom of speech etc. etc. but I think out of respect for the people who loved this girl and must now deal with her loss( irrespective of what caused this loss to occur) it might be better to simply say a terrible accident occured and leave the graphics out of it.

My

I think the American public, specifically our youth; need to see pictures like this. Our media spends so much time sanitizing everything that we see to the point that we are not cognizant of the reality of death. I actually drive a Porsche Cayman and take it up to high speeds from time to time. The sheer performance of the car gives you a Superman complex, but after seeing those photos I am going to drive a little smarter.

I do have much sympathy for the family as I lost an uncle in a terrible motorcycle crash that shredded the left side of his body and face. Took the mortician a week to reconstruct him and at the end of the day he looked like a mummy.

That's a hell of a well built toll booth to handle a hit from a Porsche at those speeds and basically suffer no damage but a smashed in door.

Wow - I'm surprised he would even attempt an open casket service for someone like that.

I saw an ER special where a man was riding a motorcycle and lost control while driving. The center median had those steel railings to separate the lanes, and they guy slid into them and they spun him around several times. Unfortunately he lost both arms AND legs.

They showed the guy about +/- 4 months later and he was actually very thankful to be alive - and not depressed at all. I've owned a motorcycle in the past, but I don't think I'll ever buy one again. Life is short and human body is incredibly fragile.

That's kinda what I was thinking too...although, I think it would take a little more than an inflated bag to prevent that.

But I do think it wouldn't have been as grusome of a scene had it been a coupe rather than a cabriolet...that is a cabriolet isn't it? I can't tell from the carnage.

no one deserves an early death but in this case the result of her speeding was that she died. when you play around with a dangerous machine, you can be killed.

I feel pitty for her and sympathy for her family..........

I would not call the "machine" dangerous. It only became "dangerous" in the wrong hands.....the same can be said of a ball point pen or any other object.

I would call any car that is capable of triple diget speeds dangerous. She could have been driving a civic and still wound up in the same mess.........

A CL type S can reach 147Mph.......and the car would not survive an impact with cement wall either if it was traveling 100+ mph........

Mass produced cars are dangerous even when driven on a test track in optimal conditions and they need to be driven with care and the utmost respect otherwise you wind up in a heap of trouble.

any motorised machine is dangerous to some extent..........

Still, a 911 should have been able to handle a California road at excessive speeds had a good driver been in control. A civic going that fast is just a bad idea.

I have to question what the difference between 85 and 120 really is... If she had gotten into the same accident at 60(initially not that severe, but she hit something that cause it to roll) and rolled a cabriolet right into a apparently very sturdy cement toll booth she would have been just as dead.

The Civic she reamed tops out at anywhere between 110-125mph. Bottomline: Any object when handled I R R E S P O N S I B L Y can be deadly. Hence, the world is a dangerous place.

Ogrish doesn't exist anymore, they were bought out.......

I didn't save the pics, but did figure the link would go down at some point. Have a feeling the family will sue due to the toll booth not designed to come down when hit hard in an accident.

That aside, I would imagine they will pop up again somewhere.
