The TL was starting to have problems, I wrecked it once and it was never the same. Also wanted something without a slushbox tranny with a bit more potential

Sucky formatting FTL but the Cobalt is a pretty impressive FWDer. It beat all the cars below around the Virginia International Raceway.

and yeah, Cobalt SS posts some great track times in several tests, IIRC.

Yeah they sure do handle well, I'm investing in some coilovers soon, shocks are pretty worn from being lowered for 2 years, getting some bad rebound from my shocks
