g35c auto vs auto cl-s, i'd go w/ the cl-s, i've driven both, the cl's upper rpms are way stronger

Agreed. G35c auto vs. CL-S would be a drivers race IMO. Same with 6-speeds

well i know for certain that you are intimate with the G35c. stock for stock, i would have to give the nod to the G. i have raced a modded GS400 here in austin and it was wayy even. now i dont think that a stock Cl-S would be able to do that. but i do know first hand how fast a modded CL-S 6 can be. stock for stock i would have to give it to the G. of courrse if anyone is here in austin, we can line 'em up (for research sake)....

what are you talking about WEIGHT MAKES ALL THE DIFFERENCE

nah man a g35 would destroy a auto cl-s stock for stock. Hit 110mph and the G35 would pull away like a mofo.Braking and handling are signifcantly better on the G.

Yes a stock 1992 NSX would have a hard time beating a stock 2003 G35 6spd.

You are obviously a Nissan biatch...

What does the above statement mean to us?? I've seen a stock Mustang run high 13's and stock F-Body LS-1's run low 13's. But that means what to me??

Grabbin' at straws now are we?
V8 sports cars. Maxima is a v6 four door family sedan.
There are maximas running 12's how many CL or even TL run 12's?

Again a stock 1992 NSX would have a hard time beating a stock 2003 6spd G35. Be very close races and driver dependant. Stock 1992 NSX is a low 14 high 13 (at best) car.

You obviously have no deductive reasoning skills at all.

The domestic references were meant to mean that I am not comparing ETs as a whole. There are GTPs running 11's, where does that leave the Maxima?? Geez, you are truly a moron.

If a Maxima is quicker than a CL/TL does that make your life better?? If so you are even more pathetic than I assumed.

If we are to get into a drag strip debate about FWD vehicles we don't own then so be it. I owned a 13 second GTP and destroyed Maxima's all day long. The 3.5L Maxima would not have been a problem either. But that was not the car I wanted to continue with so I chose something more refined; albeit with less potential for the dollar.

G35 Coupe

I have test driven the G35 coupe(auto) and I do like the car very much(except for it's plasticky and cheezy interior, and for ~37K I can't believe they don''t even include struts for the hood)

Acceleration wise I feel it is about the same as my stock CL-S, not faster nor slower, but what is impressive about the G35 coupe is in the driving dynamics ie. braking and handling. However, although the brake feels strong I don't feel it is very linear. A light tap feels like someone stomp on the brake and the car comes to a immediate halt.

Don't get me wrong I am not a die hard Acura fan nor Nissan fan. I think the only car that Nissan makes which truly impress me is their Skyline GTR VSpec... debating about G35 vs CL-S is kind of silly b/c G35 is more sporty, while CL-S is more luxurious. Everyone has their own taste No need to flame each other. They are both great cars.

there is still a few 1/10ths between the two cars, from 0-60 and 1/4mi. with the nsx being the quicker of the two.

who's grasping at straws

You should check out some videos at TOV. They show a NSX Type S-Zero (basically a factory-edition car) and the Nissan Skyline GTR-VSPEC (another factory-edition car). The NSX out-runs the Nissan!

Second... there is NO FREAKING WAY a stock '92 NSX will lose to a G35C unless YOU are driving the '92 NSX!!! In that case Yugo will beat the '92 NSX.

Third... if you REALLY want to try this out... I'll have a friend bring his stock '92 NSX and I'll drive it against ANY stock 6spd G35C. The NSX will WALK AWAY!!! And don't even START comparing the handling between the two!

Fourth... I beat stock 350Z's quite easily the way my car is setup right now... arn't Z's quicker than the G35C? Hmm... c'mon now, I want to hear you start defending the 350Z.

I just came back from the LA Auto Show... BOTH the G35C and the 350Z (especially the 350Z) look very CHEAP on the inside... although I got to admit they look darn nice on the outside.

What price difference? A '92 NSX probably costs less than a new loaded G35coupe.
