I no longer drive the 02' clk430 and now Im driving an 04' G35 coupe. Now before any of you start to rag on the car it is a temporary fix till I get the new Acura RL which I believe will make me quite happy..

Im posting cause I miss the seats in the cl-s so bad...I absolutely hate the G35 coupe seats and also the car is not faster than my clk430 and not faster than my cl-s 6 speed.

You guys have a great car for the money and should really treasure it cause Ive gone through 2 cars that offer other things but not in such a nice package as the cl-s. I have recommended the cl-s to many of my friends that wanted a good car for the money and all have thanked me for pointing them to the right direction.

Im looking for some nice Recaro "STYLE" seats to change the OEM seats of the G.....anybody would like to trade the G seats for their cl-s ???

Is that an aftermarket grill in the last picture? Or did someone steal your grill? Have to agree with you on the overall package of the CLS. I couldn't be happier with mine. This is coming from someone that used to trade up every year or two.

whats up brothas....I was talking with an old friend about cars and I mentioned to him the cl-s has the best seats I have ever sat in even over the Benz.

I went with the G cause I am working in Manhattan again and didnt want to beat up the Benz in the city. The G is built like a tank compared to the Benz and Im not kidding....not one rattle in the G while the Benz had more rattles than a Civic.

I test drove the M3 but it was just too sport for a daily driver especially in bumper to bumper traffic in the city....by the way the G is auto. I wanted the stick so bad but I had to make a decision and I drive in traffic 90-95 % of the time so it just wasnt feasible.

congrats lou, i do like those wheels, they look like they serve the purpose. you do ned to go back to the stock grille tho, and put some centercaps on those wheels. otherwise, looks nice. and yeah, the new Rl will def be amazing.

 

You probably could have had an E55 with all the money you've dumped into cars with mods + depreciation.

JMO, hope you enjoy the G35.

And why the new RL? I mean it looks nice and all, but its still just a V6.

As innundated as I feel by the G35, it's quite the looker. A bit bland since every third kid in my area has one, but I wouldn't turn one down, if it cost me no money and was similarly optioned as my CL (Nav).

Don't know much about this Lou character other than his flaunting his CLK but really, we're all entitled to love our cars. Lets just refrain from overdoing it.

 

What's funny is I find the G seats to be equal with the CLS seats. Actaully, I find them much more supportive in the lower legs than I did the CLS.


I'd be willing to bet if you ran the G and the CLK at the track, the G would be faster. When I first got my car, I thought the same thing in that the G was slower. But it's not. The way the power is produced by the VQ almost makes it deceiving in its ability to get up and go. But when you actually go up against cars that may have given you a good run with the CLS and beat them soundly in the G, you then realize...

And he has an auto... Drive a 6mt. It's faster than a CLS 6.



And Lou... Why in the HELL would you buy a brand new car and then already know you're going to be in a RL in '05??? Does then seem in any way sensible? Just curious.

 

That’s what I was wondering. Isn’t the new RL coming out in about 4-5 months from now ???

explain to me how am i a hater? a hater is someone that doesn't like somone else because they are jealous of their possessions/etc. Lou has absolutely nothing that i would be jealous of or couldn't afford myself. plus, i really don't care what he's like in person because i don't hang out with him. what matters is how he acts here and he acts like an idiot. I was thinking the exact same thing, i was like "damn man, this guy is always picking some fucked up looking rims. Hot ass cars, but the rims are just ugly.

 

I think lou has been thru 4-5 cars since I've joined this site 2 years ago. In 4-5 months he should be due for another one.

Doesn't make much financial sense to me, but, if it makes him happy
