Ran with CTS
ok well i was coming from my truck yard and i saw red CTS behind me coming fast. Then he changes lane and the race was on. I just punched the gas pedal and shiffted into SS and then down shifted to 2nd and right before red line it shifted into 3rd. I stayed ahead of him till next light (he was little off from my rear bumper) and then i had to make left turn so then he passed me.
Thats all

The 3600 is GM's best V6 motor, IMHO. It's definitely a VQ35DE type motor as far as power delivery goes. It's a shame that more GM cars (read: Chevy & Pontiac) dont have this motor.

off the line i think the cts may get teh tl (rwd) rolling i thing the tl my have a slight advantage here.
im not sure manual vs manual. i havent driven the new cts with 6speed in it
the 3600 is no where near gms best engine.
the 3800 is a way better engine, its stronger can make more hp, comes with a available sc

Thinking hard about one as well. I drove it twice already and it will RAPE my car badly (CTS-V). The stock CTS--even the new one, will not keep up at all.
ps--Dealer has quoted me $50.5k o/t/d with the suspension/sport/luxury packages and 2.9% for 72 months...hmm...

It is a sweet car. You can also get new exhaust and cross-drilled rotors as dealer installed accessories.
