Raced an older model M3 tonite...

I was coming back from just getting my body kit and spoiler installed.. Made my car looks so sweet.. anyways.. I was going on 495 north towards tysons corner arrea.. I saw a white older M3 model, maybe 95-99 not sure what year but in those year range, just getting on 495.. He changed to the far left lane and i was two lanes over his right side. I caught up to him to be even with him and obvisoulsy gave him a hint i wanted to go..

I kept even with for a minute and then he gave the go.. He floored it and he got the jump on me by a car and 1/2 lenght on me . We keep going up to 110 mph until i catch up to him to only being a 1/2 of car length behind..right before he slowed down because of traffic in his lane. I keeped going and then he must of changed lanes and caught up and pass by i was already slowing down to exit out. I knew i was going to loose but i wanted to know by how much.. One thing he didnt smoke me.... whew!

So now i know i need some headers and pullies.. I know next time i can have a good race with these older M3 models..

anybody know how fast the M3s go 1/4? 95-99 between those years?

I beat my friends Auto 98 M3 Sedan w/ AC schnitzer exhaust in my stock TL-S a year back or so. The TL-S is faster than the auto models (especially 3rd gear in the TL-S). Its the stick M3's you have to watch out for.

How could u be it with only that mod? they run 14.0 flat in 1/4 mile?

well his was a coupe. Dont know about manual .. I would probably say that im not a very great driver.. Well i think.. I normally dont drive her hard.. But if it was manual and i think it was because of the outcome then i do need to watch out.. But one thing he didnt kill me so im proud of that.. Now i am really leaning towards headers and pullies or supercharger to back up her looks...

with my current setup i/h/p i have been able to beat an e36 without a problem... i would think that a stock TL-s has a good chance at winning as well.
