Is it true that they tested the GT-R with slicks on the Nurburgring? If so, that's pretty disappointing

^^ in addition, is it true that the GT-R did a running lap while the z06's time was from a standing start?

There are so many conflicting reports, does someone know for sure?

but the stock tires look to be the closest thing to a R compound tire ive ever seen. (even though they are runflats)

You can also play with camber to make the car handle much better. Like I said, the C&D test was of a mule. How do we, as the general public, know that it's 100% production spec.

Honestly if it was designed right i doubt there would be any difference. The tires on the car look like they belong on a track. I couldnt read the tread wear rating, but id be surprised if it was above a 140.

From an article
Normally, run-flat tires have very hard sidewalls, essential for maintaining tire shape after a puncture. The Nissan GT-R's tires have unusually pliant sidewalls, improving steering, agility and ride comfort. They are filled with nitrogen rather than conventional air, which prevents pressure change during high speed driving.

I've seen several Nurburgring lap times for the GTR. They vary a bit, ranging from as low as 7:32 to 7:42. Does anyone have the actual official time?
