i was looking to buy a set of Volk from online for my Scion tc, but the problem is three wheels are 40 offset, and one is 46 offset, will a spacer solve the problem?

You can. I would look at getting the one wheel replaced if possible. Just be careful when you have them rotated. Be sure that they know why one has a spacer.

A spacer will solve the problem of them looking odd because one sits in further than the other three without it, but one corner of the car will have more weight on the hub than the other three, so I'm not sure how it would effect your handling. I guess it all depends on just how heavy the spacer is. Personally I'd stay away and just find a set with all four the same offset.

the lip on the one with a +46 will more than likely be a half inch smaller assuming the offset change only affects the lip.

Bottom line, it will look silly. Get a set that match.

i know i should just look for the whole set, but wasn't the te37 discontinued? and the set that i was looking at is 18" bronze comes pretty new tires, and he only want $800 local pickup, thats dirt cheap, so hard to pass it.

i would shop online to see if you can get one replacement and use the odd wheel as a spare... if you can find a replacement... 800 plus a few more hundred for a new wheel is still dirt cheap...

Let's be crystal clear, do not put wheels with non-matching offsets on your car. It will look strange, handle strange, not align correctly, etc. etc. etc. A spacer will not solve the problem.

If you have to, buy the set, then immediately start in on selling the odd wheel and buying one in the right offset.

Agreed. You shouldn't even entertained buying a mixed set. What was the seller doing riding around with 3 matching wheels and one with a completely different offset anyway?
