Question for the Wheel Experts

Well, having owned the FX for 2 years now, it's become a PITA to change out tires on one set of rims and so, I'm thinking of getting another set so that I can mount my summers onto them and keep the factories for the winters.
Anyhow, did some shopping around and found the market for 21" rims to be limited. But, did find a set made by Lorenzo. Anyhow, anyone here own rims made by them and thoughts on the WL28s?

I suppose there's the option of buying another set of factories (i.e. from the 2012) model...but, that's $4000 just for the set.

The wheels would look better than the car they're mounted on.

Well think about this, 20" tires are a lot cheaper. Perhaps sell the 21" Blizzaks, pick up an affordable set of 20 inch rims and tires for less than the price of new 21 inch rims. Just checked tire rack and the price for 21" Blizzaks is $348 each versus $200 each for 20". Would save you a great deal of money. Or run the 20s as your summer tire, either way you would save money in the long run. Just throwing ideas out there.

Three Wheelin'
Yumcha, I personally don't think you're going to find a suitable replacement for the very attractive factory FX50s wheels.
My suggestion would be to keep the FX50s for summer and either ride out the Blizzacks or trade/sell them. Craigslist is a decent spot to sell tires. Then get a quality set of 20s for winter; I'd first look for factory 20s. Running 21s in winter doesn't make a whole lotta sense![2 Cents](https://acurazine.com/forums/images/smilies/2cents.gif)
I have 255/50/19s on our MDX and ironically 20" tires are cheaper and offer way more variety.
Good luck

I think you are doing the right thing with getting another set of wheels. I just purchased a-specs for my tsx for the summer so i could use my existing all season tires(that are horrible in the winter) and will buy snows for the factory set.

A) Keep the OEM's for winter use and buy a nice set of 22's for summer use.
B) Sell the 21" snows and buy a set of 20's with snows for winter.
Those are my suggestions, in order. I wouldn't buy another set of 21's. They're such an odd size; I wouldn't want more laying around.

I would suggest getting some nice 22s instead for the summer. Reason being is you will be amazed at how much cheaper 22in tires are than 21in tires. 21in is an odd ball size car manufactures made up and it never caught on to tire manufactures and thus you pay a premium for tires.

Thanks for the feedback, guys. I have not bought too many wheels in my time of owning cars as I usually stick to factories.
However, with the Lorenzos I have linked to above, I'm being quoted for $380 for each wheel. So, in total, it is $1520 for the whole set. Is that a terrible price? While I can appreciate the merits of going on 22" wheels and just selling the Blizzaks, the market for 21"-fitting Blizzaks are likely to be sparse and so, I'd just create a whole new can of worms on that one.
Anyhow, more input please! Thanks!

So you have two sets of 21" tires, but one set of 21" wheels.
Knowing that 20" or 22" tires are cheaper and more commonly used, I'd keep stock FX wheels and use them with either the Blizzaks or current summer tires. I'd then buy a new set of 20" or 22" wheels and tires. Sell whatever set of 21" tires you won't be using to another FX owner, on Craigslist, or eBay. Take loss on those now.
At some point in the future, you're going to sell the FX. Would you rather take smaller loss on set of 21" tires now, or take loss on uncommon set of 21" wheels *and* tires later?
I'd think you'd have a much easier time selling a set of 20" or 22" wheels and tires than a set of 21" wheels and tires.

Well with that last big of information then I would keep the OEM for winter. I would not want to use an aftermarket rim with all the salt as it will more than likely corrode even faster.

I keep looking at the wheels and I can't decide which I like more the first or the second set.
You could also do these but I haven't found a picture of them on an FX at all. They are kind of like set 2.
