Question on labor prices
I just got some work done at a performance shop, and I'm wondering whether I got a good deal or not. I am considering taking my TL there... The mechanic there works at Toyota, and it looks like he does a lot of Honda work (he has like 6 civics sitting around the yard). So, anyway, I bought an Integra a few months ago to drive around town, and it needed some work. He did it for these prices:
1. All 3 motor mounts replacement (labor + polyurethane mounts) = $160
2. Replace both front CV drive axles (labor ONLY) = $160
3. Adjust valves = $100
4. Tranny fluid drain and fill (fluid + labor) = $30
Btw, I got the axles from Autozone for $60 each (so it was actually 160+60+60=280 for the whole axle job). He also replaced the valve cover gasket for me, no charge, since he had the whole thing apart. I supplied the gasket.
So what do you think? Did I get a deal, or was it more normal prices?

I'd say those are pretty good prices.... I never got someone to swap out my axles for me before but quoted labor times for a Toyota dealer typically range from $110 at the lowest to around $200 for the highest, from what I've heard from Toyota techs.
He probably did the axles while the car was in the air and the tranny fluid was draining out, which is pretty damn easy and fast to do, and axles aren't that labor intensive. No idea on the motor mounts though. Seems like you got hooked up, to me.

For Integras, assuming its a manual, spray down the drain bolt and filler bolt with penetrating oil of choice, wait a while, spray some more, wait some more, then take a 1/2" drive ratchet, no socket, and take the bolts off. Not sure what size but I think you need a socket for the filler bolt. Let it drain out, torque drain bolt back on, fill it up with 4 qts or until it overflows from the filler bolt, then torque it down to spec again. Thats it!
Nonetheless that is a hookup price, he pretty much charged you $5-10 labor depending on what fluid he used, but its so easy, after my friend showed me I could do it during my lunch break, with my eyes closed and still have time to finish my happy meal.

Excellent prices, I wish I could find a reputable place around here with rates like that.

Sweet...good to hear that. The guy did it all in one evening. I dropped it off at around 7pm and I picked it up at 8am the next morning. It did seem cheap when he quoted it, but then I realized it only took him like at most 5 hours to do it all. I was like $450 for that means close to $100 an hour! And it's not like it's a regular garage. But if you all say so, then
