my buddy got one FWD and he lives in Edmonton, ICE capital of the world it seems haha He doesn't know anything about cars and he never wants to ask for advise. He really likes how audi looks so he just got the first white one he found.

no doubt any AWD system helps but that car being FWD must have had bald tires to be spinning that much in that little of snow

Did he buy it new or used?

A friend of mine once worked at the Audi dealership here in Calgary. He said they would order maybe 2 or 3 FWD A4's (top's) in a year so that they could use them for "price leaders" in their advertising. He said even then they where always the hardest ones to move.

I find them to be extremely rare in our neck of the woods.

Of course if you've never seen that peculiar white stuff all over the ground before like me then "quattro" really is just an ad slogan....

I think it was the RWD BMW in the photo that left those tire marks all over the driveway.

I'm sure that BMW isn't wearing snow tires, and in all honest that would probably make all the difference.

he got it used, he got it for cheap with 59000km, 07 for 23500$. He likes it and that's all that matters really, I'm happy for him. But when I pointed out that he shoul dhave looked for a AWD one he thought I was jealous or something so i just dropped the subject.

But blasting up to Tahoe with quattro is pretty nice.

Getting an Audi without quattro is like getting a woman with no breasts. Still functional, but is it what you really want?

AWD FTMFW (and add good snow shoes if you live in a heavy snow area)

I have some M+S all-season tires on my Mazda and they aren't for fucking shit.
